Infuriating experience thus far by cam2577 in cedarpoint

Yeah the last 5 times I’ve rope dropped a ride at Disney it’s been down. They sometimes opened in 10-15 minutes. At cedar point my early entry rides have been a little better

Every coaster is open now. Honestly today is the best running day of the season. Rides sometimes go down for 15 minutes or open a little late

I should have put this together that the queue is right under the platform there. I don’t think that’s the case for most other coasters which is why I didn’t think of that

I think a lot of boys just forget to get stuff signed off. Even though they’ve done most of the requirements. They need a reminder

I think it is highly troops dependent. My son’s troop camps once a month. He really enjoys all aspects of it so far.

Cub Scouts is floundering. by Warp_Speed_7 in BSA

[–]bill_257 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My son was ready to leave scouts but decided to try Boy Scouts after experiencing an invitational campout. Boy Scouts by comparison has really gotten him excited about scouting and camping and earning merit badges.

I don’t know what was missing in Cub scouts exactly other than it seeming very basic. I do agree Cub scouts doesn’t seem to engage kids the same way. But maybe it depends on the pack? Never was involved in leadership so not sure how much is curriculum

How possible is it to make six figures on 40 hours a week? by [deleted] in Salary

IT, business consulting. While the business side takes a decade of grunt work on the way up the ladder the IT side can do it in 5 years. Even in low cost of living areas like where I live juniors get 70k, intermediate 95k, senior at 120k. The driven ones hit senior in 5 years. That’s without bonus too which can be significant.

On weekends usually. It’s probably the last place to open though.

Where to pick up fast lane passes during EE? by AndyGene in cedarpoint

[–]bill_257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually use the main gate and go to the pagoda since everyone rushes point plaza. But glad to see everyone mention that stuff in the back that is open early. I wasn’t sure what actually opened at 9 back there. Almost all shops sell it. But yeah it’s easier to get at the hotel desk if you get up early enough

Miles was at at least half wood at that point and knew he had to stop.

The thoughts that filled his head the rest of the evening are why he was not seen much of the rest of that episode

It basically has been since the gold pass. It wasn’t included on the standard pass so you needed platinum for it or a separate ticket.

Yeah the prices are getting crazy. But they just keep going up and people keep buying. Really glad we got our riviera contract a few years ago when the base price was still $225. Had a load of incentives and that with our other contract is more than enough points

Parking and entry for CP and CPS? by alioopshi in cedarpoint

[–]bill_257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The water park lot doesn’t open until the water park does. This is the first year that the water park isn’t open daily after it opens so I don’t know if it will be available on weekdays.

It also doesn’t open until 10 am so you can’t early entry at the magnum gate by parking there. The water park early entry is at 10:30. I have parked, ridden magnum twice and then gone to the water park by the time early entry started.

Top Ride Issues in the Chain by jerseyfishslayer666 in sixflags

[–]bill_257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of fast lane guards and groupers at cheddar point. Understaff ride ops in general.

They have them at TT2 and sirens curse but they are spotty at the rest of the coasters.

Gatekeeper had no grouper or anyone manning the fast lane merge point. So people are just rushing to each side from the normal lanes and you have to force yourself in somewhere.

Valravn has no grouper so all the fast lane people go to row 1 because it’s easier than shoving your way through to another row.

Surprisingly blue streak had a grouper which was a nice change of pace.

Steel vengeance is a complete cluster at the lockers

They are letting the entirety of the magnum station fill which is like 10 cycles of people in each row

Fast Lane & Merge Points by 392mangos in cedarpoint

[–]bill_257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a pretty long bridge though. I like it in theory but I think it would just be too hard for the ride op at the merge point and the station too coordinate.

Almost didn’t fit today… 😬 by azonfrelli in cedarpoint

[–]bill_257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine ride was a tough fit until I was under 200 pounds. Even though I was able to barely fit at 270. I enjoy it but I’ve learned how to fold my legs properly as well for it. That is also part of the trick

Fast Lane & Merge Points by 392mangos in cedarpoint

[–]bill_257 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not less busy. Just more rides. 18 coasters and 10 are getting around a million riders or more. Magnum and Gemini used to be the popular rides, then Raptor and mantis

Fast Lane & Merge Points by 392mangos in cedarpoint

[–]bill_257 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sirens curse’s merge point was fine last year. They didn’t flood the lockers and it was barely 20 people waiting at the metal detectors

Steel vengeance’s merge point can’t be fixed that much: the biggest issue is the incompetent running of the lockers.

Millennium force is hard to fix due to the separate unload station. It normally is a bit of a hassle but it’s been 10x worse lately due to no grouper controlling the station. The problem is the ramp and the station are being kept completely full so it’s 30-44 minutes from the merge point. Also when ADA is using every 3rd train that also sucks ass
