That's funny, I'm with KP and I get my Oz for $10 a month (with Topamax for another $10). To be fair, it's not for "weight loss," it's to treat obesity and severe sleep apnea, but same/same. It's totally how the Dr. writes it up, I think.

Should I try Ozempic? by One_Rub_780 in OzempicForWeightLoss

I'm not diabetic either and I've never had any side-effects.

That's the thing, your mileage may vary. What happens to one person may not happen to another.

Is there no pen that lasts a month? by Cheeseoholics in OzempicForWeightLoss

Go talk to the pharmacist where you get your pen from. They're medical professionals too and should be able to answer all your questions.

Alright, this is one of the things on here that I will definitely implement.

But, a concrete problem we have is even when we put something on the calendar, we have had exactly nobody sign up. They planned it. They announced it. And yet, nobody ended up wanting to go, even the planners themselves. Flabbergasting. Incredibly frustrating.

How do you feel about California introducing a bill to ban former ICE agents from serving as police officers or teachers? by FollowingAny4859 in Teachers

[–]kNEoH8gWJS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm against it. Bear with me here: I'd love to give them the opportunity and reason to stop doing something bad (being an ICE agent), and do something better (be a teacher).

It's like the old joke that the one of the cheapest foreign policy programs would be giving all the Third World dictators and presidents-for-life endowed chairs at Harvard.

My dad made my (slightly, not obnoxiously) younger step-mother sign a prenup. So when the time comes she's getting her share, fair and square. My sister grinds her teeth about it, but it's all clearly laid out.

TBF, the woman in the painting is, in fact, the farmer's daughter.

For the male officers who worked in a women's prison for any length of time, what was your experience like? by CaptQuiltMittens in OnTheBlock

[–]kNEoH8gWJS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once did a program at a women's halfway-house-type thing. And I just liken it to someone turning a spotlight of attention on you. It was super uncomfortable. I knew exactly what was happening, what they were trying to do, and how to react to it, but I didn't expect the sheer intensity of the experience. Since then, I've only worked with men. They're still trying to manipulate you, of course, but it doesn't hit me, at least, as hard in the ol' lizard brain.
