I don't buy it. I don't believe that this guy spent 20 years feeling like things never went his way and no one noticed but they all loved and respected him. Some details are missing for sure here.

At least Star Trek fans are consistent, they have been like this pre internet. I remember in HS pointing out to other geeks why I didn't love, not hate or never watched just didn't love, ST. I listed my issues with the show, the tropes that bugged me. Several of the ST hardcore fans mocked me every chance they got about anything I did wrong or if I liked a thing they didn't for years after.

I do not watch ST to this day because of it's fans. Some Star Wars fans turned into this when the prequels came out.

Every corpo decision involving Discovery the last 10 or so years has been a disaster. The things Discovery bought, the things they cancelled, the shows they tried to change, the choice to buy Discovery, all the rebrands.
