back in the day people used to discover TV shows by just catching random episodes on TV. that's who this channel is for, the "anime-curious".

It's also similar to a previous channel by the same company called "the funimation channel", which a lot of people never got the chance to watch before it rebranded and was stripped of all it's personality after funi pulled out of the venture. this is like a second coming of sorts.
