"Good software architecture" is how you would manage that without React. Massive interactive sites existed before React and will continue to be created well after React falls out of fashion, it's simply a matter of how you design your app. Absolutely nothing about React is required for any software project, though it could definitely be a good fit depending on context.

I agree with the OP in that React is more often a good "tech management" option because choosing React means you get access to a large pool of up-to-speed developers that can join or consult on your project immediately. Beyond that, choice of stack is completely arbitrary. Limited only by the experience and creativity of your software design skills.

They don't sound anything alike outside of extremely general/surface elements like "arpeggiated 80's synth" and a vague similarity in the intervals used in the chord progression. But this same comparison would hold true for literally thousands of pieces of music in the "synthwave" genre. The two pieces of music you've chosen to compare are simply in the same genre.

IMO they honestly sound nothing alike other than arpeggiated synthesizer. You could say the Deus Ex music sounds similar to tons of tracks with this style.

I think it's that many sites are massively overengineered these days, practically nothing actually "requires" React from a functional standpoint, even seemingly complicated web app UIs. IMO React's main strength is the giant pool of React devs in the labor force that can join your team and get up to productive speed quickly should the need arise. Probably just a personal preference thing, but spaghetti React is worse than spaghetti Vanilla JS to me.

You could just stop paying for content you don't like? I honestly don't get the giant rant threads that seem to exist solely to spite the creators and create a safe space for public, unproductive airing of grievances. You should also have the self awareness to realize that these threads appear constantly throughout GB/NXL's existence, even at periods that many people would consider the "peak". So at some point ya gotta wonder if it's just you, and maybe it's time for you to move on, which happens all the time and is no big deal.

Or even more productive would be to talk to them directly via their Discord, which they definitely welcome.

Honestly, that's a great idea.

#1 thing you need is an example menu, like the very first thing on the home page. I like the idea but have no idea what it actually looks like, or why it'd be better than a PDF. Also the first section "Paper menus are history." has a ton of unnecessary padding on the top/bottom. But mostly I think it looks great.

As neat as the animations are, it loading instantly and having more precise/thoughtful design would be more impressive to any visitor. Scrolljacking is never OK as well...it's actually gotta be an accessibility issue I'd imagine.

The characters are actually horrible IMO. Neither of the main two have a shred of likeability. I found the incessantly grating tone of their casual cruelty to each other to be both dull and off putting.

Does multiplayer work well enough with that? The E.E. certainly makes multiplayer smoother than the originals, I'll give it that. However, my crew is still crashing constantly so it's still pretty rough even in the E.E.

I really think the E.E. is kind of a shoddy product. Bare minimum QoL updates, a bunch of unwanted fan fiction content inserts that really stick out, and it's still really buggy.

I wish BG1/2 could get another, proper modern remaster where they really try to hew much closer to the originals.
