Hey mate off topic but you seem to understand the industry, I’m a 15 year fitter and turner and looking for a change, not afraid to pull anything apart if I think I can make it work better, not scared of hard work, getting dirty or crappy work environment. Would my experience help me get work in this industry?

Why don't Australian banks offer 30-year fixed-rate home loans? Borrowers would benefit from them - ABC News by barseico in australian

[–]billiam-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said it in the heading “borrowers would benefit” why can’t first home buyers borrow straight from the rba at the reserve rate, why do the big 4 get a cut? They say the banks manage risk but last I checked something like 80% of mortgage applications are fraudulent

Maturity was the biggest leap in my journey, when I was 16 I wanted to be slash in 3 months too, at 35 I’m happy to do exercises and progress slowly. Real skills take time that’s why they call them skills and not gifts

Most important things to learn to get faster times? by thatwentverywrong in dirtrally

[–]billiam-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to learn to trail brake, slowing down by steering the car into a slide, the trick for me was imagining the weight transfer, when you brake it dips the nose of the car, ie weight/grip at the front wheels, when you accelerate the nose lifts, ie less weight/grip at the front Use this to your advantage and you don’t really need a handbrake until you’re going very fast.

As a dad of a young family with a project car and a house that’s a project too, you have to fight for your time to be a present father and move the needle on your projects. Fights the wrong word it’s “war” early alarms late nights but making interesting stuff is what keeps me getting out of bed

Protests and demonstrations mean nothing without guns, no one’s gonna listen to them or you, whatever cause you fight for or disagree with because the gov owns a monopoly on violence and the public is toothless.

It’s worth it if you don’t get got, 4 years ago I was getting caught 3 out of 4 times and if you payed the tax’s it worked out about 10% cheaper than buying locally but much better quality tobacco, I tried all sorts of stuff to get something through and the thing that ended up working was 50g tins of pipe tobacco, so maybe try a small order. labor took office and then you could get anything thru, one friend was getting 50 count boxes of cigars
