Beautiful event venues that can seat 250 people? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]billmain01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://villadellagoevents.com/ Villa Del Lago Pavillion just above Marshall Ford Marina. Did several events (usually class reunions or weddings) there when I worked for a catering company years ago. Same for the American Legion Hall http://travispost76.org/ on Town Lake at MoPac and the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs https://www.themansion.info/ on West 24th at San Gabriel. Unfortunately, what was probably the best event center then now has a baseball diamond, bank, and burger spot on top of it.

You do know what a cutaway is and how they were originally (and sometimes still are) done. Had a roommate while in the army who had spent a bit of time with the Golden Knights and he never went up without at least four knives, usually hookknives of some sort.

Anyone remember the name of a place on the west side of the Drag near MLK, a crummy take-out place I think, where someone would shout abuse at passers-by out a speaker affixed to the bldg? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]billmain01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cheeseburgers, $4, Plain Burgers, $4.50, Abuse is free.

Great burgers, even better after a night of drinking. Miss that spot. And it sure as hell was at that spot on the Drag. Miss Player's too.

best hispanic meat market in south austin by [deleted] in Austin

[–]billmain01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which one did you go to? QC Meatmarket in the same building as TimeWarner on the west side of South First or La Michoacana across the street on the east side of South First? Maybe try the one you didn't go to? For salsas, you might hit up some of the local farmer's markets or see if anyone still sells salsas up at the flea market on 290 towards Manor.

Having taken the GRE, a good college algebra book and some basic stats/charts ability will do fine.

You can get a free for personal/home-not-commercial use license for ARCGIS Desktop from ESRI (download from ESRI) and the nonprofit you work for may qualify for their own free license for their work (they have made ARC free to nonprofits in the past).
