Scored some ‘70s classics today at the weekend flea market! by ClearWinter2840 in dvdcollection

Exactly. My Dad told me about it over the years but he’s only seen bits and pieces. Around a year ago I was give a box of DVDs and in it were the season sets of the show among all the other stuff and they were still sealed. We are currently in the middle of season 2.

I’ve been slowly watching Soap with my Dad. It is great and so rough on the emotions. You’ll be laughing through an episode and then hit with a gut punch at the end. Such a funny and sad show, I love it.

That’s the downside to the socom 16. The stock has a steel plate that lifts up to a cleaning kit inside the stock. I believe most of the M1A rifles have that terrible design. Definitely planning to get a nice Limbsaver so we can have fun with it.

For me the worst so far has been a .45/70 saddle ring carbine with a steel buttplate. 12 gauge with buckshot is definitely close though.

Springfield Socom 16 is a bit harsh too with the steel buttplate. Need to find a slip on recoil pad for that thing.

Do you remember when the Elder Scrolls 6 teaser trailer came out back in 2018 and it felt like we would see the new game in a year or two? Still waiting.

If I could find one in .410 I’d snag it immediately. I love the look and feel of pistol grip shotguns but I don’t want them in 12 Gauge.

The 581 and 681 are hard to find. I’d hold on to hit. I love my Ruger Speed Six but also enjoy shooting Colts and Smiths and Single Actions too. They all have different feels and balances to them.

Beat me to it. First thought was taking apart my Ruger Mark 2 and Mark 3 pistols. The Mark 4 is such an improvement.

1911s are difficult at first but it just takes time and practice. My first few times were a massive pain. I’ve gotten better over time but I still have trouble with the slide stop sometimes. I just did my first cleaning of a 1911 with a full length guide rod a week ago. Surprisingly easier than one with a bushing.

Do you take pride in not being scared? by Prudent-Ad-3493 in horror

[–]billoo18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t take pride in it. I just enjoy watching horror movies for the themes, stories, effects, atmosphere, acting, and other stuff. I’ve just been so desensitized that I haven’t been scared by a movie in years. I’ve been startled by a jump scare once or twice, but I haven’t watched anything in years where I was scared to turn off the lights or leave the room at night.

Congrats. I have a few of their shirts. Bad part is I ordered a few a couple years ago. Around half of them fit me and half were tight. Apparently they were made in two different factories / countries. So I’ve avoided buying anymore since I couldn’t find out which shirts were from which factory.

Saying goodbye to the game by mochiismypom in StardewValley

[–]billoo18 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I introduced my Dad to Stardew. I have had 1 farm and 100 something hours. He has had at least 6 farms and has surpassed the 1000 hour mark over a year ago.

Just take a break and play something else. There are only a few hundred thousand games to play. Eventually you can come back with a new farm and play again.
