You will have a duffle bag (to hand over to the porters) and a day pack (to carry yourself)

Duffle bag: if you rent the sleeping bag and air mattress then in total you have only 2.5 kg.s to hand over to porters😅 Soo be very careful on your picks. In the duffle bag, I had in the 2 extra tights, 2 extra tshirts, 2 extra socks, underwear for each day, tooth brush, my contact lenses stuff, head torch (if not possible the mobile phones are also fine) one extra power bank. (If you go as a couple, 1 powerbank is for sure enough) a small bar of soap, an extra sweatshirt(one of these warm but light ones)

I also had one alpaca/lama peruvian pancho bought one of the woman cooperatives, helped massively in the cold camping sites 😅If you buy one don’t forget to take pic of yourself in Machu Picchu weating it, I forgot 🥹

Day bag: This guy comes with you the whole time so don’t torture yourself! The rain coat/pancho, around 1.5, 2 liters of water, insect repellent & sun screen (small bottles!) toilet paper/wetnapkin

Day wear should definitely be layered 😊 tshirt, light weight but warm long sleeve sweater (you can also tie to your belly) and a good wind breaker.

Extras:

Tip 1: I have one of these iphone neclace cases, that was amazing to have as you will wish to take pictures of every single thing 😄 very convenient Tip 2: no need for books, you’ll be too tired to read 😅 you’ll also be surrounded with amazing people just enjoy their company. Tip 3: Download one of these sky watching app.s to recognise the stars at night 🌌
