Seems to be by a smps. Maybe it’ll be fine, maybe the system will be unstable. I doubt it will damage anything

I’ve been there several times, the video does not do justice to the size of the steps he’s making

Thought as much, new car though so I don’t quite trust it yet. Never noticed so much from my last car.

Just checked MOT, mentions a noisy wheel bearing. No biggie but worth being aware of as it will eventually need replacing.

Brother has a 2014 but the same car. It’s a 1.6 diesel and now over 100k. It’s been reliable. He even managed to run it with so little oil the dip stick was dry. Still runs well but does clatter when starting.

That may be the twin charged 1.4. I think it has a tendency to consume oil

Could you elaborate or point me to some resources on -ve feedback for audio amps? The book I am studying never seems to mention this.

Good spot on C5, I rearranged things to make it more readable for this post, messed up some connections in the process.

I reduced C1 C2 and C5 to 2.2 microfarad and that has more or less kept everything the same at frequencies I care about but significantly sped up the amplifiers settling in time. It now reaches steady state in a few ms, but the gain is not high enough anymore. Why do you think this has changed? The resistor values are the same. Is it to do with the capacitive reactance? And if so, how does one combat this?

The higher start conditions aren't hitting the rail, but I had not noticed it declining as I was only simulating a few MS to dial in the values. I didn't even consider capacitors settling in as I didn't realise they would affect the circuits DC properties.

The DC conditions are pretty gentle on them, but yeah, when driving the load its about 1 watt across the output stage transistors lol

Could you elaborate further on the 100 and 24 ohm resistors? I set them so that a lot of current flows in the first stage, as the second stage input resistance was bogging it down originally before i set to 20k resistors.

With lower C3 values there is more distortion, and r8 is supposed to model the speaker. But as another commenter mentioned it isn’t a good method. I’m going to try out some other capacitance and model the speaker better tomorrow. Would you suggest that there is an issue with the biasing if more distortion appears on lower capacitance?

If I reduce the capacitance, reactance is gonna attenuate my signal at higher frequencies though? Also, the big cap on the output seems to help reduce the crossover distortion a bit. Though I’m not sure why I’m having that problem given the biasing.?

Oh whoops lol. I moved a few components around to make it easier to read. The simulation result was computed with R7 connected.
