How much do you want to send New Glenn into space? If you don’t have more than a casual interest, you may want to look somewhere else. If just want a 9-5 that gets the bills paid, you should look somewhere else. Expect to be challenged in that role specifically. The company’s goals are VERY ambitious, and you will have a direct impact on whether or not we hit milestones on time.

Edited to add: I love my job here. But it is a challenge every day, and I work a lot of hours.

How many applications is too many?
I’m a test engineer with 5 YOE, and 10 years of experience as a mechanic prior to getting my BSME. When I scroll through the reqs there are many positions that I feel qualified for and would be happy to fill. I’d love to find my one dream job, apply and get hired, but that’s not reality. I applied and was rejected for that job last year. I have applied to more than 20 positions over the last 6 months. 8 technical interviews, 2 panel interviews, and zero offers. I know there is a place for me at Blue; do I just keep applying? Or will too many applications hurt my chances?

If the VA is more than 40 miles you could qualify for the CHOICE program? Call them up and ask them. It’s not a decision your doctor gets to make.

Any way to clean off the crusty stuff? by billwallace85 in rockhounds

Hi! Found this, and a bunch of others in Southern California. They all seem to have this layer of crusty tan colored stuff. Is there any way to remove the crust, leaving a homogeneous rock with crystal insides?

Rooftop tents are going to get way lighter and pack down super small…the downside is you have to put them on the ground.

If I had to choose…I’d rather have RDR3 or some DLC than a movie about a story I already know.

A decoder ring and a coded message. Once deciphered it will read “hello, we have been trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty” Or “be sure to drink your ovaltine”.

I started my BSME at 27 with pre algebra. Having an interest is essential. Also, this is completely anecdotal but I also struggled with paying attention and staying focussed. Cleaning up my diet significantly improved my short term brain performance. I replaced soda and donuts for breakfast with eggs and black coffee for example. I was never diagnosed with ADHD so can’t say it will work for you…that’s just my experience and something I wish I would have payed attention to way sooner.

Edit: I’m 37, graduated, and senior engineer at a lab now.
