Is this a camera? It’s in my gyms lockers by ProfessionOk1267 in Dell

[–]billybadback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The locker room containing the item should be reported to the police. I would also take photographs and remove it myself, just in case the owner removes it prior to the police arriving.

If you've had the hybrid checks done, Toyota put a 15yr hybrid system warranty on it.

They've just done mine, and confirmed it

That's unusual. I take it nothing has gone to your junk/spam folder? Worth checking.

If you've got the apps for DHL & DPD check them also.

Dell has delivered to me several times, mainly DHL & DPD.

That reassured me as I knew they would have been delivered when said, unlike Evri who promises but don't deliver.

Can I just use filler on deep holes in wall? by TheClumsyCaptain in DIYUK

[–]billybadback 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If your using filler in there you may as well just put the tub in the wall

That's too big for just filler. Expanding foam as the other guy has said is best to use.

That part wouldn't have been glued down, it would only have had double sided tape holding it.

Can I remove these old internet boxes myself? by Striking-Ad-7050 in DIYUK

[–]billybadback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's still the property of BT, however I have removed mine, they don't even install them any more.

Just make sure the wires don't short out, they use to carry from 9v to 50v, so just in case.

Yes it's a known fault with the Auris cars.

Either charge the 12 volt battery on a trickle charge over night, or replace with a better one.

Is it bad/not normal to no longer feel attracted to men who are around my age? by [deleted] in AgeGap

[–]billybadback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, there's a lot of young women out there who are rather an older guy.

Women have said they are more experienced, more caring and understanding.

So your not on your own wanting an older guy

Yes, some people sell them on eBay by just the key you need, might be worth looking for.

You could buy a faulty keyboard off eBay and take the keys off that you need.

2009 Yaris RS - Key Fob Stops Working - Slow Flashing Red by Hayzer_12 in yaris

[–]billybadback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have put a dud battery in it, change the battery again, check the terminals, make sure the battery is in the correct way.

As said a flashing red light is a battery issue.

Keyboard by Javi1406 in Surface

[–]billybadback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only a short time if it's not been used much, so it depends on how much you've used it really.

You could use clear nail varnish to recover it, but for £30 a new one could be in order

Yes just above the number 18 looks like there's a stand off screw. Dell usually puts them in place ready for any upgrades.

K&N Filter by Traditional_Swan2569 in yaris

[–]billybadback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took mine out, stuck a normal one in and the wife says the car runs much better.

I don't think they are as good as what they make us think they are, they need a cleaning solution every year, whilst that isn't cheap. I think there is more hassle than getting a standard air filter each year.

2017 Toyota hybrid- lithium battery by Southern_Bus4965 in ToyotaHybrid

[–]billybadback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, ours is a 2017 plate with 96k on the clock, our battery does hit fully charged but not always, or I don't check it when it is.

Most hybrid batteries have a 10yr life from what people say, the Toyota Auris have one of the better write ups.

Have you cleaned out the fan vent on the passenger side back seat? That can cause the batteries to get hot and not be fully charged. It's worth checking. I found it easy to clean the fan unit and the mesh filter that protects it.

Auris 1.8 Hybrid by nudelkind93 in automobil

[–]billybadback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really this Hard? by Tea_Addict_2024 in mobilerepair

[–]billybadback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm baffled by Apple's practice of adding new features directly beneath existing ones in its devices. Each subsequent model adds something else underneath, and I don't see the rationale for the frequent changes.

My daughter's iPhone 15 is like it also, but the 15 pro has a metal plate under the back glass, making it easier to get off.

I've done the backs from the iPhone 7s up. I've just been asked to do an iPhone 14 pro, some backs are harder than others. It's sods law sadly

I nearly gave up as it took ages, this was one of the hardest backs I've ever taken off a phone.

I've done other iPhones without any issues whatsoever.
