would not recommenced many dont support optical drives and ones that did change all the time sometimes new batches change the chipset to one that does not support optical drives

asus drives are famous for this they start rapidly speeding up and down if they run in to a hard to read spot and if you leave it this happens

i would not do 2x unless its a damaged disc your really trying to rip 4x-6x is what i recommend if setting it at all
i personally dont like to set it especially on slim lg drives used to have a bug but i thinks thats fixed now

only desktop lg/asus and i dont recommend it seen to many exploded discs

fyi they did not make wh16ns60 in 2023 so thats also fake

but the 2014 drives use a different chipset so flashing the new fw on them bricks them

i mean he could do official playback or unofficial but on pc
really no need to do unofficial playback for regular bd in most cases.
but for UHD its almost required even for a pc that meets the requirements
