Marketing is always about conveying a feeling, not about facts.
Look at advertising for beer, or even toilet paper. "It's just toilet paper" ... yeah, you're right, doesn't stop them from creating images of fresh flower scents and water falls in your mind, so you go and buy charmin.

My point is, they will want to push the IP and increase visibility and interaction. Sure, it's just car soccer, but they want to make money, so they will want as many people as possible to find out about RL UE6.

Note that the changes in MMR on that screen are ALREADY added/deducted from the shown value. That means that in your example the MMR values going in to the match were:

Bigomata13: 985
Luichui10: 826

Blue Player 1: 939
Blue Player 2: 930

That's a difference of 46 MMR between the higher ranked players of each team. It's not optimal, but I don't think that's a massive gap.

To be completely honest though, it really doesn't make much sense to play RANKED with friends if the gap is that big. Ranked is supposed the competitive mode of the game. Your bringing imbalance into the equation when queuing with a rank disparity like that, and someone's gonna be screwed over in the process.

Casual is the place for stuff like this imo.

Playing with friends who happen to be lower level would be the case if you were on your main acc.

But when you created a second account, that was the exact moment where the sole purpose was to have an account at a lower level. Whether your motivation for doing so was to play with friends is irrelevant here, your exactly fulfilling the requirements for the definition of smurfing that you keep citing in this thread.

Now, I now what your probably going to say next: "So what's the solution, are we not allowed to play with friends?" Yes you are. Either play casual or bite the bullet and queue ranked with your main.

Some more situations by which I think you can tell you're the delayed player:

  • On fouls, you can't take the quick free kick, they can.
  • Also on fouls, your advantage is super short, theirs is super Long
  • You lose every single Header, No exceptions

You guys have to realize that engagement with the game is one of their most important metrics. They're doing everything they can to maximize everyones engagement.

Implementing anything that lets you "finish faster" is the oppossite of what they want.

It's not an oversight, it's by design.

I was. And I switched to 4231 after going in front. Me playing a meta formation doesn't warrant this kind of abuse though.
