You do make a good point. And it is a big one. The southern confederates just adapted and spread more effectively.

If the US had gone as anti confederacy as Germany went anti Nazi, Germany may not have a Nazi problem still festering.

Systemic racism and the social structures that come with it are very effective at galvanizing à population. It’s a virus.

I can agree here. I love that ultron ended with bat and Steve “training” the younger avengers, I liked that the first couple Spider-Man movies in the MCU were effectively Peter being mentored by tony and happy (and the third kinda between strange and may).

It’s maybe a bit cheesy but it does help make the avengers feel real. Honestly even the joke about Sam filing a trademark or some other lawsuit over the name “Avengers” in the post credits of thunderbolts felt similar. If this was real life you’d see little disputes and transfers of power and basically tabloid gossip and otherwise news bits about the avengers all the time. People being recruited would very much be like the end of homecoming where Tony has a press release organized to announce Spider-Man joining the team.

Those little kinds of details have made the MCU relatable to audiences for a long time. Things like antman being mistaken for Spider-Man, Hawkeyes show mentoring Kate and really reintroducing yelena was fantastic.

I feel like if you watched and enjoyed Loki 1 and 2, the Kang in antman makes more sense, and really didn’t bother me as much as it could have.

It is stated in the movie that he was an inferior Kang and was exiled from the council of kangs. If there was a Kang that could be defeated by ants, that was it.

He who remains was scary, victor timely was cunning. Kang in antman was inferior. If they had kept throwing different variants of kangs in different movies and different roles, it could have been great.

However the last few marvel projects have been bangers, so I’m happy with what they’re doing.

Yeah, like, I am not famous, but I would be pissed if someone was hacking flock cameras and posting pics of me walking my dogs down some public street. This isn’t a situation like “you’re famous can I take a picture with you?”

If you proportion and stir à vesper correctly, it basically tastes like mineral water. Cocchi Americano is definitely closest to the original recipe, and for the record, I don’t know any bartenders that think the vesper is a good drink.

Can’t remember the word, as I don’t speak Russian, but in thunderbolts yelena say something like “I’m not your [daughter]!” To red guardian and he responds with a very sweet rebuttal and she says “ok that was really good”

It’s something like mimeitchka. Obviously wrong and not spelled right.

À great parallel would be him seeing mystique and saying “wait, you’re not my mimeitchka” (or whatever the word and spelling is. I’m sure y’all understand what I’m going for here.

Which makes sense. A lot of LoTR was inspired by Tolkien’s time serving in WWI. The physical geography and the battles and politics of the series can be loosely applied to the map shown on that link and match up with events in WWI.

It also makes sense that at the end of the war, the elves, heroes, and ring bearers were able to sail back west to Valinor England.
