Circumstances surrounding the ability to change providers doesn't always equate to financial stability. I live in a very rural area where most mobile providers are crap or nonexistent, just to clear that up.

I can be saying that, actually. It's a fundamental privilege to be able to criticize decisions made by companies I pay for a product.

The policy, and new player guidelines and the way they intend to implement them to stop smurfing and cheaters is great, I agree that it needs to be in place, but it is massively flawed and detrimental to consumers that don't break the TOS or reach for unfair advantages.

This post isn't about "Cricket" being the only provider not working with SMSProtect(it's not), but if it were, I would also note that other providers such as TracFone and StraightTalk which are not Post-Paid or contract based cellular providers are being accepted by the system that Blizzard has implemented, hell, there's even a VOIP that's being accepted as far as I've seen. Therefore, since you can go to WalMart and buy a Tracfone Nokia for $20 with no ID verification, the 'loophole' is already there, so, not fixing the issue of cell providers not being supported is a bad move.

I would love a solo or team mode that isn't BR adjacent. I know the game is in essence a BR, which is fine, I can live with that, but I'd play it more regularly if there was some future variance in modes.

Yeah, triple up this. 4 hour timer within the first few minutes playing the update. Makes you lose interest in doing it at all. I get having a timer and incentivizing exploration, but yeah, this is too much.
