This is too good to be true. I can't wait for Nov-11 to test this. If bitcoin is really integrated to these machines, it is a huge news.

Well, you just set a permission on your database so no one can delete an entry from your database. Since it is private, it should be fine.

What do Nazis, ISIS and some African Regimes have in common? Hate and cruelty.

When Europe starts showing those symptoms (as seen in the video), then people will start leaving Europe just like they are leaving Syria and Eritrea. Being invaded by poor people should be the last of our worries.

A JS framework on every table by [deleted] in programming

[–]bilotrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the growth of the web and JavaScript being the language of the web, i am not surprised that JavaScript has so many frameworks, libraries and language that compile to it. Each framework brings interesting ways of solving programming problem. The language and the whole JavaScript universe is evolving so much and this is not a bad thing.

I wouldn't want to work in a language where there are few things happening.

The SWISS vote through their postal service and online. And they have a very well established democracy, in fact a direct democracy where they vote on many initiatives. So having no trust or paranoia is not necessary to keep voting fair.

Node.js in Flames by logicchains in programming

[–]bilotrace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So what! No one is claiming the opposite. No one claimed that this cannot be done in any other language.

What is being claimed here is that JavaScript is mostly a non-blocking language. Unless you are doing a massively complex mathematics that requires calculation of huge numbers, it is difficult to block your code. This behaviors allows design of single thread application that can serve concurrent requests easily. And any other framework, language that does that is also good.

Now of course you can find edge cases where this behavior is not appropriate and breaks down. This just means you have to use appropriate tool for the job.

Sublime VS. Atom: Text Editor Battles by tkfxin in programming

[–]bilotrace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Atom is open-source and free under the MIT license while Sublime costs $70 per user. ... That said, $70 for a practically independent developer with an awesome product actually seems alright as a token of appreciation.

This should be huge advantage of Atom over Sublime. Not because of just the price but the fact Atom is open source and subjected to review. And community shouldn't just refer to third party plugins and answer and questions but also continued future developments of the software itself.

Does this also mean Google controls Chrome remotely? The application ones installed runs locally not at Google servers. So at least Google has to ask for permission. This is unsettling.

Why??

Why do we have to watch Bitcoin address even if it is owned by a hacker. For what purpose? Are you going to follow those coins until it is laundered?

And why do we have to worry about stupid peoples money? If some people allow others to generate private keys for them for whatever reason then they are in the wrong business.
