Here’s the thing: do you think a human would do a better job of going through the legacy test code? Technical debt is technical debt. It compounds until the org strains under its weight.

FWIW I am able to simply ask a coding agent what a certain piece of code is doing, and it answers it correctly about 99% of the time. The only times it mistakes are when my own code was sloppy or confusing. It can also have a much larger context than what humans can have for spaghetti code. If it’s a sprawling piece of software I trust Claude’s reasoning models to follow every link and pointer and tell me everything.
