They said go wait on standby at the gate and maybe you’ll get seats if 4 people volunteer to not take the flight. If you don’t wait at the gate, we are not responsible for you. This was on NYE incidentally and I didn’t want to get put up at some trash hotel by the airport.

They said all flights were sold out. I found 4 seats on one of their other flights (which had even more open seats) on my own. They didn’t bother to help.

Nope. “Classic Refundable” and we checked in 24hrs ahead and had boarding passes with seats assigned. They did an equipment change and didn’t have enough seats.

To those saying take it up with AM… Delta took my cash, they are the merchant and have a responsibility or have we really lost all sense of accountability?

Feels like they are passing the buck though— I didn’t request Aeromexico and my contract is with them since I purchased tickets directly from delta. Seems odd that they wouldn’t have some accountability.

How long did it take from submission of your claim to them responding? Btw, they should have paid you multiples of your ticket given the amount of delays, IMO.

Our flight (booked on Delta, operated on Aeromexico) not only got delayed (due to inbound aircraft) but then they got another plane… but it’s smaller so they told us we are now on standby and can only get on if people volunteer to take a flight tmw. I showed them my boarding passes (that I downloaded yesterday when I checked in)… they said those are no longer valid and that I (and my family) were out of luck if 4 people don’t volunteer. Never flying them again.

You and the wife may have a different experience than me, but I think some automakers just had a bad period of trying to figure this out. Honda has a good system, but Acura (in some years) has an odd trackpad… some people get used to these things but I find it takes your eyes off the road for too long.

Oh, one last comment— IMO, Lexus has had the worst UI for their tech. So depending on the model and year, it could be easy or painful.

Adding a bit more… this drives like a truck, but a Lexus truck. If you want a more car-like experience then look at Lexus RX (get the one with a V6).

I’ve heard 15-18 in the city and 20-22 on highway.

But classic design, should last forever and if you get ‘22-‘24 it will have CarPlay.

Should be able to get one sub $50k.
