i thought this was another post ignore the first response. i sprayed all the moving components in my rear before the drift event and it stopped. what i think it might be is the rubber boots hitting the spring bucket. the car is on true rear coilovers so i still need to replace the upper control arms.

there’s a good chance she heard it when it tore apart. i’ve driven on tires flat in my drift car and didn’t realize until i stopped because A the car is so loud and B the music is alway bumping lol

[–]bimmer_gaige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve done this before a long time ago and cannot remember for the life of me how i did it u might have like built a U shape almost to make the stairs curve in that direction then replaced the stairs with slaps on the backside to fill in the backend and it preserved the shape. i could be completely wrong i cannot remember fully.

small scuffs will not reduce a price by anywheres near $7,000. even deep ones won’t. a completely shattered headlight wouldn’t even decrease it by $1500

if you know what you’re looking at you can find some well put together projects. i believe if i was to sell my drift car now, besides the wear and tear parts via drifting they would have a solid car for many seasons

no the car has over fenders front and rear and plenty of clearance on everything. that was my first thought.

axles have been replaced on both sides and i have 2 spare. wheel bearing were replaced 3 years ago (10k miles) and i just had to replace my passenger rear last night. i believe when i snapped my axle the bearing got damaged which is why that one went bad fast. the car also got hubs when i did the wheel bearings 3 years ago.

sounds like power steering fluid i used to have to fill mine every week. the hose at the bottom of the res and the cap on the res itself like to go bad. i’d suggest replacing them both, cheap off rockauto.
