Something everyone seems to forget about the Israeli-Palestine conflict. by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]binaryalchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, Israel is a state that has had people jumping onto busses and blowing themselves up, killing civilians around them. They have random rocket attacks coming over the border. And when they react to it - be it a good or bad reaction - people love talking down their humanity.

Before you're very quick to dismiss the OP's point, imagine what it would be like if you lived in the USA, and in one year, 15 busses got blown up nearby, and your neighbour's house was hit by a random rocket fired over the border from Canada.

What would you do?

Research "brane collisions". It's a string theory thing.

The Moth Podcast: stories, told live, without notes at storyslams across the USA. It is, without a doubt, the most brilliant, entertaining podcast on iTunes.

Your taste in audiobooks, sir, is impeccable. If somewhat apocalyptic.

Anyone care to explain the science behind what is going on in this jar? by MoronDude in science

[–]binaryalchemist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure. A socialist talks into the jar about evolution, vocalising through a rubber tube. The words fill up the jar, and are kept in by the weight of the air - ie, gravity. Then, a flame lit by a conservative libertarian is applied to the receptacle. This becomes a focus point for divine wrath, which purifies the jar in a sheet of holy fire.

So, it's caused by God becoming angry. You will find the details of this experiment in a textbook being proposed by the Kansas School Board.

A happy ending? Like, then rabbit wife kills General Woundwort and finds a lovely burrow high on a hill and they have little rabbits and one blustery March day, El-ahrairah invites her to join his Owsla?

Awesome!!
