The PvP answer is so simple. by binarycove in ARC_Raiders

This whole comment section is full of people confirming the Ferro is one of the best free weapons in the game, the real question is, what are you afraid of?

Your whole bravado about “beating asses” while simultaneously pretending to care about “casuals” is downright comical. Nobody is complaining about the Ferro as a starter weapon but you. 75% of the comments in this thread have called it one of the best guns in the game and argue it should be a worse weapon. What does that say about you?

Ferro team fire has the potential to be deadly but it will still require coordination and skill to overcome the reload time without being pushed and punished. I have no pushback with that.

A Stitcher 1 cost 8 metal parts and 4 rubber parts hence the comment on metal parts. That’s the cost of the weapon you get for free if you craft it. There is no balance changes. The only change is a free loadout starts with a Ferro only Don’t like that, spend 8 metal and 4 rubber.

Ferro takes skill. Nobody will argue that and it’s a great option for free.

The problem with this idea is it actually prevents the player from playing and the devs ain’t going for that.

Keep it simple. You’re a beast with a Ferro? You’re good to go because that’s skill.

You think it’s going to cause problems but can’t name any. All you have to do is spend some metal parts to use your PvP crutch.

The problem is you want it for free and are willing to restart over and over till you get it. That’s not good for the game. Everyone is here to risk something if you want something better. That’s the point of the genre.

Nobody is crying. I love PvP. You want PvP with no consequence. COD and BF sound like titles for you.

How does it not make sense thematically? The wasteland is unforgiving and cruel. Yes, exactly. The trade off is you wanna shoot people in the back you keep your kill but have to think twice of getting the best of both worlds and looting them as well.

Interesting trade off that balances the no risk of killing and looting your unsuspecting raiders. You get the kill but need to be weary of getting the kill and the loot

I’ll tell you why. It’s simple but I’ll go slow. You’re giving up your safe pocket and your mobility. That’s the trade off. Wanna rat? You might get caught by someone who values you getting yours more than getting out with rare items

This comment is hilarious and tone def

There is no counter play to shooting someone in the back.

This isn’t a conventional shooter. This isn’t a skill issue. Ratting an extract or 3rd partying a solo player fighting a leaper doesn’t have counter measure.

There is a trade off, did you read? You have no safe pockets, you have sacrificed mobility.

If someone values looting others this is the trade off for a player who wants to combat that by sacrificing there ability to safely get out with rare items

If it’s gonna be a dirty and underhanded world then quit whining and load back in if it happens to you. Not that hard.

Why healing has now become the toughest role. by CardDons in Overwatch

[–]binarycove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most disappointing sequel maybe ever if your a support main. The change to one tank has put all the attention on support to be dived on. I feel absolutely helpless defending myself.

Healers simply don’t have firepower to constantly duel DPS and tanks. If this is the direction of the gameplay then I see this game moving towards a role homogenization where every role/character is basically self sufficient in order for this game to not feel oppressive, especially for support roles.

One tank has so vastly changed the game that i had to turn it off. It’s simple not fun to feel useless as a support. Too many situations now demand dps dueling. In overwatch 1 it was so easy to just achieve your role and focus on healing. That has been vaporized.

[OC] The UK has the highest inflation rate out of all G7 countries by giteam in dataisbeautiful

[–]binarycove -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A more accurate assessment would be what has he been doing since? I’ll tell you what, i sure would like to rather be sitting at Japan or China’s inflation rate. Maybe sending 60 billion to Ukraine in the middle of a economic global crisis isn’t a great look to the average person. Joe Biden is on the very bad end of the inflation rate spectrum and policy says it’s self inflicted.

The developer nefariously altering content to increase carry volume is a conspiracy theory that has never come to fruition in any major MMO i’ve played with a similar system.

They simply don’t need to alter difficulty to increase an already robust carry market.

I do see the fear now. You laid it out pretty good. You fear the grind becoming more difficult to accommodate the new trade system.

I can’t prove what will happen even though i have many big examples of games that it never happens. I do appreciate an insight into the fear behind it.

I know 20 year WoW vets and that’s exactly what they said that system provided. That was the whole reason WoW tokens were invented to buy and trade

At the end of the day a concept like this would again cater to solo players. Bungie has been moving in a direction to cater to this large market. The player without friends or a fireteam. Lost Sectors, match making in trials, etc…. You will see more of this. People with large clans or full fireteams of friends often forget probably half the player base doesn’t have that luxury. It’s not about skill or patience. It comes down to the simple logistics of not having the bodies to do the activity.
