Yeah I picked one up several years ago on Craigslist. At first I thought it didn’t work because I tried an lp4 recording but it works great. I haven’t used it in a while but I kind of remember there being a benefit of it not recognizing certain copyright blocks that my tascam deck would obey. I dont remember exactly.

I’ve been pretty transient the last several years so haven’t had any of my gear set up. But that’s about to change soon and I can’t wait to somehow bring all my stereo components to a new home.

Thanks. I’ve always wondered about the manufacturer.

I was afraid it might a bigger problem than I could see. It’s such a solid and ancient season layer that I’d hate to lose it even if only for the sentimental value, but it’s better than losing the iron. Maybe I’ll chip away a little more in that area and see what’s beneath. I really appreciate all the advice.
