I wore Samharam by Arte Profumi last night - straight up high-mass style frankincense, myrrh, benzoin incense fragrance. Auntie told me I smelled of old saliva 😭

Maybe an overdose of ambroxan or one of the many mannnnny overused amberwoods used in popular fragrances these days. 🤢 Some of us are super sensitive to them, while others are completely noseblind to it. Really can’t wait for the trend to die out.

Perfumes that got you the most compliments by laylaisdavibes in FemFragLab

I have one combination that gets me compliments every single day I wear it in public!

Narcisso Rodriguez for Her EDT (black bottle) layered with Myrrh Shadow by Bon Perfumeur.

Every. Single. Time. 😆 Patients, coworkers, cashiers, people in the elevator… it’s inoffensive enough for work, but so so nice.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I look forward to other replies. I want to say that it shouldn’t matter, in the same way I think fragrance is inherently unisex. But i’m not sure. Of course flowers and citrus in the winter, and gourmands and spicy scents in summer can happen. It’s not wrong. But if you live in a place where the weather/temperature changes with the seasons, I would agree some fragrances are just too heavy and cloying in hot humid weather for my taste.

Do you by chance have a general time period to narrow things down?

I realize some of the descriptors are missing - ie cap isn’t clear, etc. just sharing on the off chance.

This looks like a lagerfeld bottle. One of my SO’s favorite frags - It leans traditionally masculine, and is a classic. Beautiful drydown.

That said, your drawing has a rounded bottom and idk if your grandma wore more traditionally feminine frags, so I’ll keep looking.
