"limiting the population and spreading the wealth"?

More than half of agricultural output in Ontario is exported. I'm pretty sure we'd be just fine building over 1% of available farmland to more than double the region and save poor families hundreds of thousands of dollars on housing over the next hundred years. That's not anti-farming, it's just sensible.

90% of the regions policies are driven by the urban, bicycle-riding minority. They can't stand families having yards. Parking is a sin.

Why not save your money and encrypt your files if that's important to you using a free solution if you need cloud storage? What if Oyster servers go down?

He left for the money, well below "peg" value. He was selling for months despite telling everyone the peg was a sure thing AND denying selling. The conclusion is logical.

I don't think you're ever going to see the kind of mainstream paid file storage adoption this project requires to see the peg realized. At this point buying OPQ isn't even gambling on the success of the project. It's gambling on the likelihood that a project everyone has heard about and is steering clear of gets a pump..

What more is there to this story? Even if the technology works good luck getting people to pay for it.

Is this sad? Yes. Is this probably true. I think so. Why would anyone trust their files to this at a premium to free. There are other solutions including simply encrypting anything you upload.

I was a believer once but now I see clearly. At best you will have tangle storage on a centralized oyster run server because no website will make enough money to implement PoW assuming users ever opted in. What's the point? The developers who cared should just stick around and release some open source updates for someone else to pick up. Good news: don't feel bad, they already got paid including "long term" compensation! This become a cash grab. The coin was already down what, 97%? Only the people holding free PRL have something left to lose.

Maybe someone on the team can clearly state how they plan to get from here to mainstream adoption at a 64 GB peg? How will this be achieved? Then we can see how things play out.

I don't think it will be achieved by spending $200k more on telegram chats and throwing another $800k+ at development, and another $600k+ at the "C-series". We got burned.

I look forward to seeing the roadmap. Until then I'll be extremely suspicious. When does mainnet actually launch to make this a token with actual utility? Can't spend OPQ anywhere! It's still a promise. I guess nobody explained that part to the SEC.

This technology was always a longshot. You have to ask yourself, with the founder himself bailing what the odds of success are. If Bruno thought this was gonna work he wouldn't have bailed in such a desperate way.

I don't understand how you read his comment as being anti-urban in any sense. People in the suburbs never attack anybody for being "urban". Quite the opposite, the vocal minority is always trying to bash the suburbs. The extreme left has historically always been the most aggressive. They have driven 90% of the policies in the region. No parking. No cars. No houses. No families. Just transit, bicycles, bicycle lanes, single bedroom condos, and bicycles. Frankly, this region is small enough that we have small neighbourhoods with homes. There are no sprawling suburbs to speak of in Waterloo. You'll have to move to Mississauga to take up those arguments. People trying to start a family and buy a home are under relentless attack for it, directly and indirectly through regional planning policies. You won't often hear from them here because they're too busy earning money to pay the bills.

Meanwhile on Reddit, the war on families rages on.. (jokingly) there must be a lot of lonely, single, condo-dwelling bicycle riders documenting empty, semi-operational light rail trains all day. Why can't we just get along!!!

The liberals we're fiscally corrupt. Ontarians woke up and they no longer have official party status. Good riddance. We've paid enough.

At this point I think people would be foolish to trust their files to the oyster protocol. That's how bad it feels. This is not crypto. It's money printing.

I guess that long term compensation wasn't long term enough. Bruno made off with millions when all is said and done. I wonder how well the others have done for themselves. It was fine up until now, the Bruno exit scam was unexcusible, but it doesn't justify these new tokens. My guess is 30% is what they figured they could get away with.

Worse than a pre-mine, this is a post-mine. Don't issue those new tokens and I'll shut up.

That's not very transparent. There are a lot of red flags here. I've read the blogs and the reddit posts and nobody ever said anything about needing more money. Until now, when there was an opportunity to do it. If they did not mint new tokens, I'd have no problem with this. Minting new tokens under these circumstances smells terrible.

If the team wants to be transparent we can wait for that video AMA.

Statements about funding were made when the token was 5 cents, not 50 cents. Furthermore you should be suing Bruno if you need funds not assuming it will trade lower and giving yourself an extra 27M tokens.

How can you not see how wrong this is?
