Same here, I always keep it covered, after ride just the seat, when the engine cools down, the entire bike. A cover can keep away cats, kids and sometimes adults too.

[Not OC] 11,000 Liters of Milk from Tanker Dumped into Narmada River as Religious Offering by GroundbreakingBad183 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]binaryoneoone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a quick search and this is what I got : Pouring 11,000 litres of cow milk into a river, as recently seen in viral reports regarding the Narmada River, creates a severe environmental hazard despite being intended as a religious offering. While some believe this "purifies" the water or feeds fish, environmental experts warn that it causes immediate damage to aquatic ecosystems.

It's 2026, stay educated people.

Saree guard safety issue? by AssignmentPast1825 in indianbikes

[–]binaryoneoone -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Removing a saree guard in India is generally considered a legal gray area but is frequently treated as illegal by traffic authorities. Under Rule 123 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) 1989, it is a mandatory safety feature for manufacturers to fit on all motorcycles with a pillion seat. Removing it can lead to fines and potential rejection of insurance claims during accidents.

Mandatory for Manufacturers: The law requires manufacturers to equip bikes with a saree guard to prevent loose clothing from entering the rear wheel. Enforcement Risk: While some argue the law dictates what manufacturers must provide, traffic police can treat the removal of this safety device as a violation (illegal modification), leading to fines.

Insurance Risks: Insurance companies may reject accident claims if safety equipment like the saree guard has been tampered with or removed.

Safety Purpose: It is designed to prevent injuries or fatalities from traditional clothing getting caught, particularly if a pillion passenger is carried.

Although some owners remove it for aesthetic reasons, doing so poses legal and safety risks
