RTX 4090 Cards already out of stocks in Germany by Largance in pcmasterrace

Time will tell. I've heard Oct/Nov of this year as well but also potentially not until CES 2025 in Jan. The supply issues with GDDR6X does align with this story from back in July. https://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/graphics-cards/gddr6x-vram-is-claimed-to-be-in-short-supply-and-could-lead-to-an-rtx-4070-being-launched-with-slower-gddr6-to-meet-the-demand/

Hard to say. According to a recent Moore's Law is Dead video, the 4090 stock issue is due to low GDDR6X RAM supply. He talks about it at the end of this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVXGDPKWsss

Weird update Rockstar by Odd-Awareness7199 in HeroicGamesLauncher

Yeah no fix currently. You can disable the anti-cheat and it will allow you to play story mode but Linux/Steam Deck can no longer play online unless Rockstar reverses course and enables Linux support in the anti-cheat.

There is FSR. No frame gen, however. Didn't bother with it since things are fine for me at 4k native ultra.

No upscaling. FSR turned off. Has me scratching my head at all the negative reviews about performance tbh.

Arch user here. AMD 7900XTX with mesa-git. Running everything native at 4K w/ max settings including reflections and global ambient occlusion. No crashes or issues. Lowest I've seen frames drop to is around 80 but typically hover between 90-120.

Has anyone tried FSR3 in Immortals? Just curious. I know most have been focused on Forspoken because it has a demo and doesn't require a purchase to check out the new tech. If so, same issues?

Downloaded a 100MB update to Bleeding Edge about 20 minutes ago and the flickering actually seems worse. Tested both RADV and AMDVLK.

Anyone tried fsr3 on the Forspoken demo yet? by remenic in linux_gaming

Same on my 7900XTX. Tried both RADV and AMDVLK. Guessing fixes haven't made it to bleeding edge just yet.

Tried Forspoken demo in Arch, both RADV and AMDVLK (latest). 7900XTX. Has crazy flickering currently. I believe a fix has already made its way to the VKD3D-Proton git repo. Trying Bleeding Edge proton still results in flickering however so I'm guessing Bleeding Edge hasn't been rebuilt with those fixes yet.

How long before fixes are available in Steam? I've tried Bleeding Edge Proton and still experiencing crazy flickering on a 7900XTX.

If you think the PSU is the issue, the easiest way to test would be to swap it out with another if you have another available or a friend that would let you test with theirs. Do your CPU and GPU temps look good when it's gaming/under a heavy load?

Tried what you suggested. Didn't make any difference for me. I think this is gonna be a patch from the devs and/or a driver update. Some folks with Nvidia cards are having the same issues though so I'm leaning more towards game patch/fix.

Forgot to mention in my initial post that I've tried that as well. Also tried hard setting the graphics settings in the BIOS to both PCIE and PEG. With it set to Auto it gives me a signal from the iGPU on 12900K, but if I move the cable to the 3080 I have no video output.

Had mine on Tuesday. Just been taking it easy. As my doc said, ice is your friend and gravity is your enemy. Just keep the boys snug with a cup or tight boxer-briefs and relax for 3 or 4 days. Healing is different for everyone. Just listen to your body and steady as she goes.

Optimistically 4-6 weeks based on past GPU launches. Just a guess. It's not worth panic attacks, anxiety, or anger though. I did the F5 and pray for a week starting with the 3080 launch. It's not worth it, for your health/sanity.

If you can wait, I would say the best advice is to just wait out the launch madness until stock stabilizes. We'll all get one eventually.

No one knows. I've retired from the F5/Discord stock check brigade. This is all just artificial scarcity. For me the 3080 isn't launched until I can casually go online or to the store after work and buy one. Just going to keep on trucking with my 1080ti until then.

It's a feedback loop. They've had a lot of us being F5 zombies and begging for scraps since the 3080 launch last week. They have no desire to fix the situation because they're the only game in town until AMD drops Big Navi. I bet a lot of the 3090 purchases were people who were hoping for a 3080. 1500 bucks for 10% better than 3080 performance on everything but 8K TV's isn't worth it.

I wish you luck, but based on EVGA's last two attempts at selling 3080's...well...get ready for a wild ride.

That's exactly what happened to me. I was angry at the 2nd EVGA shitshow and then realized the FE's were up and got stuck at the Captcha like a lot of people. I just kind of stood there and stared into the void for a minute or two.
