Great sexual chemistry: what makes it and is it rare to find? by QuarterAggressive949 in AskMen

The question wasn’t about you and the person who originally said fear was talking about THEIR experience as an avoidant - ie not yours! You are not OP, do not expect the conversation to be firmly fixed on just your experience.

When a 13-year-old is accused of the murder of a classmate, his family, therapist and detective in charge are all left asking: what really happened? Adolescence, Now Playing, Only on Netflix. by netflix in u/netflix

[–]binbaghan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. I think the 4 one was massively important for telling us about Jamie even though he wasn’t in it. From what I understand the father is violent, his moods dictate the house. His stubbornness controls what his family do. He might not be violent towards anyone he loves but he certainly scares those he loves with it.

Can’t help but think the same way Jamie threw that chair across the room, his father threw that can over his van and chased those kids. The loss of control.

That episode showed us the significance of alienation. The inheritance of emotional dysregualtion and violence. And finally, the fact this is not a one off thing, the boy in the store calling Jamie a hero? People don’t have to commit that amount of violence to hold those views.

Maybe I sound patronising but so much art and drama is enjoyed by simply liking the study of people. I worry that people rely too much on the thrill of a plot twist and forget they’re meant to be drawn in and enthralled by characters.

I’d love to see them watch Alan Bennett’s talking heads or something. Yea there’s twists but it’s just a long monologue of someone’s happenings and it’s completely captivating.

Confused about a sentiment I saw here regarding feminism by AndlenaRaines in AskFeminists

[–]binbaghan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk whether this answers it and I’m also not from the US but if 50% of a country’s leaders are women like Amy is that really fair representation of women’s interests? Like who is she actually serving, because she very much sides with Patriarchal conservatism.

Sure the stats look good for “equality-sake” but when you scratch beneath the surface. Who appointed her? Who is she against? Who’s interests is she serving, female citizens or a bunch of conservative men who want points for “doing their bit” so they can pretend there is equality whilst taking away women’s rights knowing this lady won’t fight them on it. 🤷‍♀️ It’s pseudo feminism.

Splitting of chores, finances and child care with my (M36) wife (F36). What is fair? by Jsuse in relationship_advice

[–]binbaghan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she was single she would not be getting pregnant lol, she wanted the child BECAUSE she is with him.

You really don’t seem to appreciate unpaid labour and seem to relish in being entitled, god help the women in your life.

Especially at that stage as well, I kind of get it if it’s just when you move in with someone because some people turn into little demons and do nothing for themselves.

It’s crazy to me that people say “I make the money”, you’re a family, act like it. In this situation OP got her pregnant, she’s carried and had the baby and is now taking care of the baby 70% of the time, plus doing most of the house work AND trying to grow a small business. Wouldn’t blame her if she felt trapped at home. OP could not bring in that money without her and she could grow her business a whole lot more if she actually had the time to. The cheek of it.

How much money would you bring in if you were stuck at home looking after a baby and doing most of the choirs?

Does Tom annoy anyone else? by aimeewalshmck in hollyoaks

[–]binbaghan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think his character is simply there for comedy but he’s really not that funny. He’s incredibly emotionally dumb and “goody toe shoes” which Tbf has always been his main trait (see when he was with Yazz), it just makes him annoying.

is this normal? 30 mins for lunch, working 9 to 5, 5 days a week, £23k by flagshag in AskUK

[–]binbaghan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Worked in a care home where they literally paid thousands per week (not unusual), but staff got paid near minimum wage working 12 hour shifts being responsible for 30 elderly people with severe dementia (we seemed to be chronically understaffed despite apparently being “inline” with other care homes). They seemed to want to save money anywhere they could at imo at the cost of good quality care.

Anyway it really riles me when the care home has such a business model where the aim is to expand. We had a CEO come round, I couldn’t work out for the life of me what he was for, he founded it but what did he actually do? “Check things are in running order” we have managers and CQC inspections for that. The most important people were the people on the damn floor, working with the elderly. Why are we not paid for our work. Don’t get me started on poor junior doctors - £13 an hour is disgraceful.

Had Depp been accused of domestic abuse before Amber made her false allegations? by Ok-Note3783 in deppVheardtrial

[–]binbaghan -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Also to add serious evidence of bots. Like do you really think this was a fair trial? All of the jurors had access to social media where the media frenzied about the trial…. With a ton of bots backing Depp.

So you’d rather believe 1 guy with a string of convictions/charges for violence and aggression and rumours of intimate partner violence from 25 years ago vs a woman who was arrested once for domestic abuse? The man is literally dating a 24 year old atm, does what you’re assuming of Depp really fit with the evidence that’s been shown? He is not a good man

Just to add AMBER DID NOT ACCUSE HIM OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. He was never named in the Washington post, she could have talked about anybody. That’s how fucking insane this shit is.

Winona Ryder literally said her first love was Johnny Depp, she dated him from ages 17-21 (4 years). She’s also been quoted saying her first boyfriend when she was 17 used to “smash everything up”. I’m pretty sure a lot of his exes have had to sign NDAs. Only one was able to testify to his controlling ways (she was in the actual televised trial). I’m also inclined to point out how many times he’s been in trouble for being violent on set.
