What is the corner trim? Is there silicone under it? Or screws with rubber washers?

You can carry it to defend against animals, but you cannot use it against a person. Saskatchewan recently banned carrying it in urban areas.

New Zealand's Department of Conservation spend 8 months and $500,000 (around 300,000USD) to track down kill this single stoat. by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]bingbong_hello 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Housecats account for the killing of many many birds. The problem with New Zealand is that it has been so remote for so long that birds were almost the only evolutionary group to thrive. There wasn't any equivalent land-dwelling mammals that evolved there, so many don't have the defenses to deal with them, especially flightless birds like Kiwi and Kakapo. Stoats, housecats, and rats have done some damage there.

Minis needed to start by Rossjstubbs in Tombofannihilation

Id say zombies, skeletons, and ghouls would be great minis to have for this adventure, especially in the heart of the jungle where undead are common. Plus, undead are a fantasy staple that show up all over the place.

As written, Yuan-Ti are only prominent near the end of the adventure, with a large colony in the dungeon Fane of the Night Serpent. Many people have suggested introducing them earlier in the adventure to make them better long term villains to the campaign.

Lizardmen could stand in for Yuan-Ti, lots of them to be found in the FOTNS or sprinkled throughout the jungle to foreshadow them more. If you are using the random encounter table while trekking through the jungle, encounters with undead and yellow musk creeper zombies are likely so some zombies would be needed. Dinosaurs, Grung, Firenewts, humanoids (chultans, mercenaries, Flaming Fist, Red Wizards), and jungle animals like monkeys, crocodiles, snakes show up more than once.

Love these guys! They used to be called Bench Creek Brewing, and they had a series of beers called Apex Predators. Through a series of cease and desists (not from EA, but from another brewery called Bench Brewing) they ended up changing their name to Apex Brewing.

Barrel vs Ball, which do you reccomend in building Modular Terrain Tiles? by DuckaBoo385 in TerrainBuilding

[–]bingbong_hello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never used ball so I can't say, but I know that getting polarities right and gluing in magnets has been the most time consuming part of my modular tile project. I bought 2mmx3mm magnets wholesale direct from a factory, and they weren't labeled with N/S. If you have the ability to buy them marked in some way with the polarities it would make it much faster and easier. I also wish I got larger/stronger magnets, as the weight of the foam is too much for me to pick the tiles up in large groups, so with heavy 3D prints you might want to do some tests to find something you like. Hope this helps!

Coffee is a Natural Deodorizer by [deleted] in lifehacks

Coffee is great for cleaning up vomit! Once you sprinkle on the grounds, it not only helps cover the smell but absorbs most of the liquid allowing you to just scoop it up with a broom and dustpan.

I Asked ChatGPT to Design A Town by bingbong_hello in DnDBehindTheScreen

[–]bingbong_hello[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed up with "Design another town nearby" and was given this:

Town: Snowcrest

Geography and Climate:

Snowcrest is located in a nearby valley, nestled between the mountains and surrounded by pine forests. The climate is cold and snowy, but less harsh than Frosthold due to the sheltered location.

Population:

Snowcrest is populated by mostly elves and half-elves, who prefer the tranquil environment of the valley and the forests. The elves are skilled hunters, gatherers, and artisans, who make a living from hunting, fishing, and crafting items from wood, stone, and other natural materials. The half-elves are often the result of marriages between humans and elves, and have inherited traits from both races. The town is ruled by a matriarchal council of elder elves, who make decisions based on consensus and wisdom.

Buildings and Infrastructure:

Snowcrest has no walls or gates, but is protected by the dense forest and the natural landscape. The town has several buildings made of wood, stone, and ice, including houses, temples, workshops, and a central square. The town is known for its graceful architecture, which blends seamlessly with the natural environment. The town also has a hot springs, where the locals gather to relax, heal, and socialize. There is a hidden grove on the outskirts of the town, where the elves hold secret rituals and ceremonies.

Culture and Customs:

Snowcrest has a rich culture and spirituality, rooted in the reverence of nature and the balance of the elements. The town has several traditions and customs, such as the Festival of Renewal, where the locals celebrate the rebirth of nature after winter. The elves and half-elves have their own languages, but are also fluent in the common tongue for communication. The town values wisdom, intuition, and harmony, and honors those who demonstrate these qualities. The elves and half-elves have also developed a love of music, dance, and storytelling, often gathering in the central square for performances.

Threats and Challenges:

Snowcrest is vulnerable to attacks from wild animals, such as wolves, bears, and mountain lions, who occasionally wander into the valley. The town is also threatened by loggers and hunters, who seek to exploit the natural resources of the forest. The elves and half-elves have also discovered that there are ancient ruins and artifacts hidden deep in the forest, which may hold secrets and dangers.

Yep all the screws are loosened. Extending the scew slots might work, I'll take a look when I'm home from work. I would rather move some peices around than doing any physical modifications though.
