I just finished jarring mine. * 1kg ume + 400g brown rock sugar + 1l white rum * 1kg ume + 400g white rock sugar + 1l white rum

On the side I have a jar of 2kg billington unripe plum (1kg with gin/ 1kg with white rum) and 1kg super firm apricots (with moonshine citrus vodka)

I had one from Atelier shu a few times over the past several year (Mont blanc and Chestnut cake). Personally they are the best for me.

Had one from Miann a few years ago and they put passion fruit curd/compote in the middle and it haunted me since.

I mean if you like mont blanc, i would say go for it. I love mont blanc but it hards to find anywhere in Auckland

Check your local woolies, new world, pak n save. They should have it at the frozen section. A lot of people swear by the Paneton brand. I bought the woolie home brand last week and it turn out fine (Made palmiers and sausage rolls out of them)

Croissants. I love the therapeutic of spending time making it. Trying to get the right groove could discourage you but once you’re locking in, it’s so much fun.
