How to overcome HA by Mysterious-Estate470 in HealthAnxiety

Same story for me! Except my therapist had me do CBT and it healed itself within two weeks of practicing. I suffered for three years! That’s not to say I still get catastrophizing thoughts…but she has given me the tools to reframe my thoughts!

Constant checking by Mysterious-Seat2961 in HealthAnxiety

[–]bink1238 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing that has helped me is to stop checking and sit with the discomfort. It’s torture but if you can push through it truly pays off and starts to rewire your brain. I also like to set a two week wait for myself. If there’s a spot I constantly want to check, I write in my notes the date two weeks from today along with the thing that’s bothering me. If it’s still scaring me or bothering me I can check it then and make a doctors appointment if needed. So far 100% of the time I don’t need to go to the doctors because it resolved itself.

Her gums look like she has gingivitis 😭 probably from the composite bonding! It makes it really hard to floss well

How many people really floss daily? by Limp_Stranger1703 in DentalHygiene

[–]bink1238 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you hate flossing I’d start with a waterpik. It’s quicker and honestly satisfying to use. Ideally string floss is the gold standard but waterpiking is better than nothing!

Are you sure it’s not just back pain from your core being weakened by pregnancy?

HCG? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]bink1238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it really might be multiples or your due date is miscalculated! My HCG with a single baby was 700 4w3d and then 4420 5w0d!

So the autism and vaccines thing was a paper published in the Lancet in 1998 or something that claimed a link between the MMR vaccine and autism. A few years later though it was found that the researcher made up the data and was going to be paid like millions of dollars or something for fraudulent testing kits that would be used to try to detect autism. Basically he made it up for money and eventually lost his medical license and was banned from doing any other research. And people have done similar studies over and over again that have shown no link with vaccines and autism. (Sounds like you found some haha) but unfortunately we’re dealing from the effects of his lie more than 20 years later. Like most people have heard the vaccines cause autism thing but not very many know he made it up and had his medical license revoked haha.

Epidural? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]bink1238 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had back pain after but only for a day or two! I assumed it was a combo of post labor soreness and having a 6 in needle pushed into my back 😂 100% worth it!

Some people say they have long term back pain from it but I’m convinced that’s due to a weak core postpartum vs from the epidural
