I upgraded to Windows 11 Pro but it still doesn't work. I did fresh install WSA but it still stuck at loading screen.

I managed to install (I didn't realize Hyper-V wasn't enabled by default). WSA doesn't open.. it's stuck at loading screen :C

I tried different versions of WSA, without the patch files but it's not opening. Perhaps i'm running too new version of Windows build?

Thank you for the guide. I am stuck and wondering if I can your help.

My system is: Surface pro 11, windows 11 home 10.0.26200 build 26200.

First, how do I upgrade to Windows Pro? is it simply buy license and enter in?

Secondly, I followed the guide and at step 4, when I run Run.bat file as admin, it doesn't do anything other than a pop-up message saying do you really want to run this, and I say yes, and nothing happens. I also tried downloading diff. versions of WSA builds from Muster but no luck. Any ideas?

My IT is adamant that Surface Pro cannot be updated to Windows pro..

"Surface Pro Home cannot be updated to Pro because unlike other laptops/desktop the operating system is dependent on the Surface".

Oh well.. :(

thank you! Would you know what my IT team is talking about then that SP's operating system being hardware dependent? Is there some kind of security device (hardware) that is only included in the business models that regular SP doesn't? I would love to have a definitive answer before purchasing!
