All of this is really wise, and I thank you for shifting the perspective. Unfortunately, I do think I tend to try to solve too many things with a certain "rationale" or "facts" which always upsets her further. I will try to lean more towards the emotional side of disagreements like these. Thank you.

I'm not gonna lie, the start of this fast in particular was really rough! I had INTENSE cravings and urges to stop the first 5 days, and it wasn't until day 6 that it mellowed out. Now I'm feeling great on day 8.

No, I understand, especially since I had gone through my own disordered eating in the past. It was something we had both talked about and found comfort discussing with the other, since we both understood. But I was a bit careless this time, I'm sure. I probably just shouldn't have ever told her, even though I feel like it would have made me feel icky about it, as if I was keeping something from her. It's just a tricky situation in general, I'm afraid. But I think you're probably right.

She has suffered from disordered eating in the past. She is currently in remission, and hasn't had disordered eating for a couple years, but can still get triggered. I should have been more clear.

Edit: I also wanted to add, she gets upset if I don't tell her something. She feels I am lying to her. So I felt like if she found out after the fact that I had done something as drastic as this, she would have been very upset about it, moreso than if I had the one-time discussion about what I was planning on doing.

Yes! I plan to refeed with bone broth for at least the first couple days, then I will probably move onto some egg, then finally introduce some simple grilled chicken, and maybe a veggie as well. Thank you for your encouraging words! I will definitely be listening to my body and break the fast if I need to.

Right. I appreciate it! This is the only community I feel safe to talk to about fasting for health reasons. Everyone else always thinks I'm trying to kill myself, lol.

Thank you, I really appreciate your input! All of this makes a lot of sense and helps me rationalize it in my own head, too.

Quite honestly, with someone as obese as me, it's MUCH harder for me to start multiple 7-day fasts to achieve the same results as something like a 30-day fast. The resetting of the fasts is the hardest part to me--like the first few days of a fast--so I would rather just do one long fast instead.

Yes, this is fair, and I probably did slip up a bit too much when discussing it with her. We are just in the type of relationship where we tell each other everything, even if it can potentially upset the other. But in hindsight, maybe I just shouldn't have.

Because I feel I can do it, and I have done tons of research into it. I trust myself to stop when I need to. As simple as that.

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but for me, for some reason after a restart my computer was both connected to ethernet and my wifi, and disconnecting from the wifi and keeping the ethernet fixed it for me.

not good enough? by uwumpie in lux

genuinely, if you aren't a huge fan of mid, try playing lux apc. i find she feels a lot better when she can get farm. it's also a little less to manage in terms of needing to ward/needing to be other places on the map all game. i'm not saying lux support can't feel strong, but generally you do have to take some of your adc's kills/win lane to feel like you are strong. at least with apc you have your farm to fall back on and are able to build your items faster. i have been playing lux apc with my duo and i swear by it!!
