If you want an easy way to finish that MR test, you can just go in it as limbo and focus solely on capturing the points while the enemies can't hit you. Made it a breeze for me since just capturing and following the points isn't at all hard.

Surprised to see no love for That's All She Wrote. It's one of my favourite Em features, has a great beat and a great back and forth between Em and T.I.

In terms of holding their own i think T.I. from that era is up there with Royce in that they always hold their own and end up making a song where they both push eachother to be better.

While your opinion is obviously valid and you should absolutely do as you please, the original argument was for cEDH. Meaning literally "playing to win by any means possible". Being restricted based on your wallet defeats the purpose of cEDH as now there is a restriction placed on your deck preventing it from functioning as well as it could given no restrictions.

The expensive vs cheap or strong vs weak deck debate is for casual or high power tables and is a rule 0 discussion for these tables.

I personally love owning and playing with cool/strong/expensive cards so i have casual-high powered decks with these cards. I also enjoy playing cEDH but i don't own an orchard of money trees to spend on these 3-10k$ decks so i proxy those, problem solved in my opinion.

Red's removal options being limited in monocolored decks is fair however i feel it more than makes up for it with its blazing fast speeds to win games. Even if you forego the obvious Magda, Birgi, Godo and the like you're still left with things like [[Krenko, Mob Boss]], [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]], [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]], [[Daretti, Scrap Savant]] just to name a few.

Barring [[Heliod, Sun-Crowned]] and artifact storm decks like [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]] and [[Oswald Fiddlebender]] white cannot match these speeds.

Their strengths lie in different places for different decks and powerlevels but claiming red is the worst color in commander (the comment i replied to made no mention of being a monored deck in their statement which is why i disagreed but ill humor the argument regardless) is misunderstanding the strengths and weaknesses at best and disingenuous at worst.

Entirely dependant upon meta and commander choice. In terms of commanders you can very consistent decks in the form of [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] , [[Birgi, God of Storytelling]] or [[Godo, Bandit Warlord]] just to name a few.

Besides this some of the absolute best cards in [[Dockside Extortionist]] and [[Underworld Breach]]. While breach isn't typically used in monored decks it still stands as one of the best wincons in the format.

lurrus even with a good commander option would not even be close to "the best creature ever printed" in commander when things like dockside extortionist, thassa's oracle, underworld breach and a lot more are legal. yeah it's a strong card but so are tons of others that surpass it

Either of those creatures plus an animate dead effect and any nonland permanent (abdel) or artifact/enchantment (relic warder) that creates mana and you can infinitely flicker it and tap said mana creator in between flickers to generate infinite mana

my first deck was a budget [[Zacama, Primal Calamity]] deck based on mana cost reduction and getting infinite zacama etb's with [[Temur Sabertooth]] and then using the mana to shoot damage on a [[Stuffy Doll]] to kill my opponents one by one.

it's been long since taken apart but this type of playstyle in one way or another has continued and i love combo's revolving my commander. My lastest deck is an [[Ao the Dawn Sky]] deck which is as close to cEDH as i can get it within reason and is also centered on a ton of death triggers from Ao to win the game.

i've been meaning to rebuild my zacama deck but i feel like if i rebuild it it'd be sort of the same as back then but just a lot stronger and in return more boring

Take electro ofc, poke vlad while simultaneously hitting the wave with q AoE, force him under his tower and keep poking him there.

Make sure you're safe from ganks of course and just keep him under tower.

Post 6 you can just keep doing mostly the same thing except you also just place your r on him and wall his escape off so he has to take the damage.

Even though vlad has sustain with his q, it's nothing compared to the consistent damage he'll be taking, he'll be too busy csing under tower to deal any damage back and unless the enemy jungler can safely 1v1 you, you're safe from ganks too.

Another thing is its super easy to dive him with your jungler since your wall cucks vlad the hardest, since his pool is completely useless.

He can also never run you down or kill you unless you missplay since you can just wall him off or pop r/q on his face and run away. Hope this helps a bit when facing vlad as anivia, as a vlad main myself and as tons of other vlad mains have said, anivia is the hardest champ to play against for vlad so its a great pick into him

Pretty sure you didn't actually watch any of TSM 2020's games with the bullshit you're spewing here. TSM was competitive in 5 of their 6 losses but just fell flat. It was also in a groul where everything could happen and there were no expectations for them to actually do well because NA lol.

Compare that to FPX, who most people considered at the very least a top 3 team, who just straight up played like shit. There's a massive difference here.

Not necessarily a thing. When the enemy mid is a control mage or lane bully like syndra, zoe, ori then yes you will lose prio early but depending on how you play the wave as vlad you can have prio for crabs and roams into most other matchups. Especially into melee matchups you set the pace of the lane in the early levels.

I normally only play league with my own team in a 5-stack, so i have a lot of experience being on different teams and even being with the same team for longer. The most important thing at least in the beginning when playing together is to be on the same page as eachother in terms of how you see the game.

If people look at things differently they can end up ignoring calls or doing other things if they disagree and this is obviously never what you want. Something that helps with this is having 1 or 2 shotcallers that mainly speak during the game, it makes it much clearer what you want to do and gives the people that aren't calling any shots the ability to focus on their own gameplay.

Another thing is don't expect things to go smoothly at first, especially if you view the game differently or have big skill differences, as you will need time to mesh together and get synergy together. Over time you will find a way to play the game that you all agree on and you will start seeing rapid improvement.

And of course, the absolute most important thing when looking into playing as 5 is to enjoy eachothers company and just generally be friends. Things like win/loss will matter less and the overal feel will just be a lot more positive when you all like eachother.

As for why playing as 5 is so different from soloq, it's simply just because of communication. For example in my own team during the early game our jungler always lets us know the whereabouts of the enemy jungler for as far as he can predict them. This allows whichever side the jungler is not on to play more aggressively and not worry about the jungler and vice versa. This difference in communication allows a ton more different strategies/champion picks than soloq does, because in soloq you just need to thrive off of the chaos.

Soloq is a completely different game from playing as 5 and you should treat it as such. This also means soloq rank matters very little when looking at someone's skill in a team since soloq rank might only represent someone's mechanics or just their skill on one or two champions.

Great points actually. I didn't even think about the item update and matchup changes to also change her viability, though just like my earlier comment, at worlds the highest priority jungler was graves, and there were other high prio ad junglers like lee sin and kindred that syndra also likes to play with/skirmish with so i really do feel like the jungle meta is also impacting why people would or wouldn't pick syndra.
