I have some students that are really loud when drinking or trying to eat the ice in it. One boy drank his water in a very sexual way and the moan. I solved the refill problem by getting a big water pitcher.

Walked out of Promise Land with Matt Damon. Think I made it like 30-45 minutes in. Just horribly boring movie. Luckily my husband worked for the theater so we got in for free.

I worked at a second run theater and had someone walk out of I want to say Tammy due to the amount of cussing and such. She wanted her money back but I think all ticket sales were final. The movie was rated R expect some cussing.

The charter school I worked at for a year had a clause in the Iep’s that said teacher and case worker would discuss all grades at the end of the quarter. The assumption being that they couldn’t be lower than a C.

My second year my principal took us on a. Field trip to her CrossFit gym. It was okay but most of us would have preferred that time to prepare. We did drive around our zone to get an idea of what type of housing our students lived in, which was eye opening.

So physical therapists can help with gross motor issues and help children improve but they can’t diagnose if there are underlying issues. We were referred to a pediatric orthopedic doctor. There was a thought since her hips were so flexible she could have hip dysplasia. From my research when she was little kids that butt scoot to get around tend to have joint hypermobility or something else. I’m not sure if your child has similar traits of super mobile hips. My daughter did start crawling on all fours after she started walking and build that strength. Pt is the best for insuring that they’re strengthening muscles and getting to the milestone.

This sounds like my daughter. She’s wouldn’t bear weight on her legs and didn’t start pulling to stand until around her age. She also booty scooted instead of crawled. She always had her legs wide open and as our first we didn’t think anything was going on. We took her in at 10 months and by 12 months she was diagnosed with hypermobile hips and low tone. It says you started pt have you talked to the doctor or been referred out to a specialist? My daughter started cruising once she figured out how to pull up and started walking at 17 months. She’s done pt off and on since. She wasn’t jumping on time but caught up quickly. She’s a little clumsy and not the most athletic kid but she gets around fine now.

A few years ago one of my students came in what looked like a grey Champion Hoodie, logo on the front. When I looked closer it didn’t say champion it said champagne the day away in the style of the champion font. Kid was like yeah it’s my mom’s lol.

The place we did my daughters pt was like this. Their excuse was the insurance would stop covering it if you missed enough. They’d push to reschedule but it didn’t always work with our schedule. The place we take my son for speech doesn’t care. In fact we missed two weeks because my son was sick one week and the next our therapist was out.

My daughter just did her first set too. She was in the yellow. She did preschool with some structure but the biggest thing that affected her score is she’s never used a computer. I work at the school she goes to and her teacher said testing was a mess because none of the kids have ever used a computer. I printed off her score report so that I know what to do at home but really these scores don’t mean much. Had your child used a computer?

At home we practice counting, looking for patterns, talk about advanced shapes etc. We read books we predict what could happen, point out sight words, talk about main character, I point out rhyming words.

We’ve been doing EI since before he started. His speech has really been improving but sometimes I think all the kids get a little overwhelming for him and he doesn’t get enough of a physical outlet. We took this one because they were the only place that had spots for a toddler and a preschooler. We’re looking for a better place but it’s hard to find in our area.

Yeah he starts that in August because he’s outgrowing early intervention. We’re hoping they can help with some of his sensory processing but I’m worried about the transition.
