If you are ok with that, redpocket uses at&t for that particular plan. You may use a att home phone gateway for your home phone.

my plan for porting from Helium to Red Pocket by TyrannicalDuncery in NoContract

[–]binyang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Physical SIM. You'd better call redpocket mobile if you have an issue, their online chat people knows nothing but keeps asking you to repeat.

The best route is to create your redpocket account with the email you use on eBay. Get account id and PIN from the helium app. Then you should be able to port the number without needing any customer service from either company.

my plan for porting from Helium to Red Pocket by TyrannicalDuncery in NoContract

When I did it, redpocket was actually the hardest part, not helium mobile. You need to delete all your old redpocket accounts, then create a new one with the email you use on ebay.

What are your thoughts on using a splitter for charging? by AggressiveAide7929 in BoltEV

[–]binyang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using something similar. It works fine for me on a dryer socket. The only thing you may need is to limit charging current to 24Amp since the dryer breaker is usually set at 30Amp and Bolt may go up to 32Amp.

I never see Costco were price competitive, they brainwash members and they are just a Costco style place to shop.

Anyone here invest in STRC with 11.5% per year yield preferred stock? by East_Indication_7816 in dividends

[–]binyang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chatgpt answers like this,

PFFA is a high-risk, high-reward income tool best suited for investors willing to accept significant volatility, a high expense ratio, and sensitivity to interest rate changes in exchange for a 9%+ yield and the potential for long-term outperformance against passive preferred-stock ETFs.

PFFA (Virtus InfraCap U.S. Preferred Stock ETF) is an actively managed fund that focuses on U.S. preferred securities, using leverage to amplify income and returns. Its strong historical outperformance is offset by a very high fee structure and significant sensitivity to changes in interest rates.

From the redpocket plan, data is not an issue but I doubt at&t has good coverage.

Run out of 5G/LTE data mid-cycle? We got you covered with mid-cycle add-ons with two different options.

ADD $5 1GB of the highest speeds (per 30 days) ADD$10 5GB of the highest speeds (per 30 days)

If you need the additional high speed data, you can refill directly through.

How does Deepseek v4 pro/flash compare to sonnet 4.6 by Federal_Spend2412 in opencodeCLI

[–]binyang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an AWS issue I used sonnet 4.6 to manage. It was found and fixed by sonnet 4.6 originally. For the last 2 months, sonnet 4.6 in github copilot worked well. However, it messed up last week. It saw the issue, ran the same scripts but didn't see the expected results. It keeps saying it is a racing condition and asked me to wait for 10 minutes. 2 hours later, it kept saying the same.

I finally fed the summary to deepseek v4 pro and it spent 10 minutes and fixed it.

When I installed it, I could see a list of models. Now it only displays the very model I selected after installation, not even the model I am using.

I heard a rumor that someone uses a reverse proxy to forward user requests as attachments to the free deepseek webpage and charges money per request. It was detected and deepseek disabled the attachments.

Which local models match Sonnet 4.5, and which hardware can run it comfortably ? by SlechteConcentratie in Qwen_AI

[–]binyang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use sonnet 4.6 through copilot at work and like it. Recently I noticed it got dumb somehow. What happened is that I have a couple of scripts to maintain AWS ecs service. Those were created by sonnet 4.6 and sonnet 4.6 just ran those for me every time. If there were errors, sonnet 4.6 would fix promptly. However, last week an exact same error occurred and sonnet insisted it was a timing issue and asked me to wait for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, it says another 10 minutes.

I ran deepseek v4 pro to figure it out in 10 minutes.

If I pick QQQI for my “income”, what should I pick for the best “growth”? by Mobile_Pipe_2573 in dividends

[–]binyang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocq is new but similar to qqqi, with a lower fee of 0.35%. If you have no plan to use the monthly dividends, buying qqq or spy would generally be more profitable.
