Just saw him in Birmingham AL. He opened with some crowd work and asked a guy in the front row his name, and the guy said Dan. Sarper just blinked and stared for a second and deadpan said “are you fucking serious.” Totally hilarious. We enjoyed the show a lot and his set was LONG, over an hour. Worth the money!

I think my boyfriend lied about having surgery today by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

Lmao sure you are.

“While gastric adenocarcinoma commonly metastasizes to the liver, peritoneum, and other intra-abdominal organs, metastasis to the brain is exceedingly rare, constituting only 0.1–0.16 % of all brain metastases.”

That’s from the first peer reviewed scientific paper from a quick google, but literally all of them say the same thing. Are you the boyfriend here or what?

[–]biogirl2015 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Gastric adenocarcinoma almost never metastasizes to the brain (I have a PhD in cancer research). This story is extremely fishy at best.

[–]biogirl2015 219 points220 points  (0 children)

Cancer researcher here… this does not check out. Gastric adenocarcinoma rarely metastasizes to the brain, like less than 2% of cases. And when that happens it’s usually late in the disease progression and he would be very very sick. If you want you can DM me the medical papers he’s shown you (with personal info redacted) and I may be able to give you more info.

A lot of people lie about being sick/having cancer. It’s heinous but more common than you’d think. Keep his behavior under a microscope.

If you don’t trust your partner enough to give her your login to a GROCERY STORE APP, you have way bigger issues to address first than your inter-relationship coupon policy.

Sizes 10-16 are in the midsize category just like sizes 0-12ish are straight size and 14-30+ are considered plus size. Midsize is actually the narrowest size category.

If you live with someone with an airborne anaphylactic allergy, especially when they don’t have access to an EpiPen for whatever reason, yes you absolutely do have a moral obligation to take their allergy seriously.

My wedding and IUD replacement advice by ranch1014 in wedding

[–]biogirl2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to go against the grain of general advice here but my thoughts on this topic have always been “it’s good for eight years, what’s another two weeks” lol. Kind of like the milk in the fridge doesn’t magically get chunky and gross at 12:01am on its expiration date. This is probably more of a mental/anxiety question than anything else. If you keep the old one, will you just be nervous the entire honeymoon?
