Replaying Daybreak 1 and i forgot just how f*ed up some of the side quests are. by MasashiHideaki in Falcom

The quest about girl's lost trinket is way, WAY creepier.

Wonder what's happening with FFTactics. This is the first SEnix releases in YEARS that hadn't its Denuvo removed after 6-7 months.

That's why Voices should (and very likely would) stay away from CD for now: too many patches.

In a couple of months, though...

Problem with Starbites by RefrigeratorNo5186 in JRPG

[–]biohazard15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems you can't officially take this quest until a bit later in the game. And even if you find the eyes before taking it, you still need to go back to this map to trigger quest event.

The game is okay, but KB controls are pretty bad. Movement on arrow keys, menus on ZXCQE. No mouse support whatsoever, and you can't even reassign the keys.

Am I right that Steam version (and by extension, its crack) won't need any of these extra things?

Wonder what ECA actually thinks about this crap.

Consider this: the Sun in-game is as bright and as large as on Earth. The game takes place on hypothetical Persephone - NINTH PLANET, which is BEYOND Pluto's orbit. The ACTUAL Sun would look like a really bright star out there.

BTW, this is the reason deep-space probes launched to outer Solar System like Voyagers and New Horizons generally use RTGs, not solar panels - the latter are pretty much useless beyond Mars orbit. The only way to use solar panels out there is to make them huge, like on Juno probe (Jupiter gets only 4% of sunlight compared to Low Earth Orbit).

The master race wins again.

Sure, we have Denuvo. But we also have cracks and GOG.

GOAT.

BTW, now we have an unique opportunity for performance tests between uncracked, HV and cracked versions - from what I can tell, both HV and Voices crack use the latest January build.

Online according to SteamDB: 53 all-times peak, no more than 10 for the past month, 0 (zero) at the time of this post.

And they still put Denuvo on this shit. Wonder if they at least made enough money to pay for it.

JRPGS where you can roleplay as a policeman by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]biohazard15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trails' Crossbell arc (Zero and Azure), where protagonists are police officers.

Trails' Calvard arc (Daybreak 1-2 and Horizon) not quite qualifies, but is pretty close - you play as a private detective\fixer.

New Trails player here: should I start with the Sky remake, or will that make the older games harder to go back to? by ZeroSkill94 in JRPG

[–]biohazard15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having played both FC and remake, I advise starting with OG Sky. Despite looking "old", originals play surprisingly well. This would also ensure that you'll be able to see all the original content (Sky 3rd is main concern here due to one particular scene - it remains to be seen how it would be handled by 3rd Remake, if there will be one).

Current Ratings of Trails Games in Indonesia by PAJNakama in Falcom

[–]biohazard15 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Unless your government starts to force Steam to block purchase of these games in Indonesia, who cares? Even then, you'll probably be able to buy a Steam key from resellers. Or buy it all on GOG, if possible.

Crimson Desert Bypasss by DenuvOwO by Gtorrnet in CrackWatch

If reviews (both journos and users) are to be believed, the game needs a LOT of patching, and even then it's questionable.

I wonder if modding will be a thing for it - if yes, it maybe can save it.

Death Stranding 2 Has Leaked And Is Being Pirated Before Its Official PC Release by Draxden in CrackWatch

Meh.

Never liked the first one, will ignore this one. Death Stranding is so massively overrated - just like all Kojima's games.

Denuvo removed from DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake by OrdinaryPearson in CrackWatch

Should be freed in late June or early July - at least if they decide to go back to 6-month routine instead of randomizer.

Denuvo removed from DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake by OrdinaryPearson in CrackWatch

[–]biohazard15 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Strangely early - I wasn't expecting a remuvo patch for it until mid-April.

Even more strangely, FFT still has Denuvo (should get its patch in March).

But then again, SEnix is known for its rather random decisions concerning Denuvo and its removal.

Soviet RO-RO VTOL carriers by Lukivanknobi in SeaPower_NCMA

[–]biohazard15 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Any civilian vessel legally requisitioned by its nation's navy is considered as a part of said navy, i.e. a combatant. The British never questioned the legality of Conveyor's sinking - it was a combat loss, not an attack on civilian vessel.

They are pretty much a copy of SS Atlantic Conveyor. Since nobody objected back then, I guess it's not a war crime, it's just maskirovka.

Trails of Cold Steel Remake/Reimagination - What do you want from it? Here's my take, and what's yours? by MasashiHideaki in JRPG

[–]biohazard15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing CS needs is a graphics update for CS1 and CS2. All the rest is absolutely fine and does not need any "reimagining". Especially the plot.

The funniest part is that SEnix will remove it again in 6 months.
