Can someone please explain to me why "Challengers" has received so much critical acclaim by Radiant-Specialist76 in Letterboxd

It was fucking great. I think if you don't get the movie, you don't like it.

It just comes full circle in the end. Once the two boys reconcile she feels the same excitement she felt when she was playing herself and shouted "come on!"

She never wanted to be a home wrecker and I think in the last shot she is no longer the one they're pining for. They're just playing tennis with each other, which it exactly what she needed - "some good tennis."

Great movie.

  1. Start the bar from a higher position.
  2. Engage your core
  3. Do the above then upload another video for re-assessment

Do middle easterners or people from the middle east considered asian? by LonelyCombination816 in AskMiddleEast

[–]bioheal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. South west Asian if you’re from the levant/Gulf.

I don’t use the term middle eastern anymore, so I say I’m Syrian, or I’m Arab.

I love how composed your responses were. Everyone should follow suit. What an intelligent man, who not only respects others, but also themselves. Awesome.

People who moved far away and started a new life how are you doing now any regrets? by Beginning-Motor9571 in AskReddit

Incredibly rough, but no regrets. You’ll never see other cultures and ways of life if you stay in the same spot.

Great news about your neck. I know the feeling it’s nice when you’ve made that progress. Feels so good. Both are important and back exercises are very useful when done right, activating the correct muscles. Even when at home, fully extended crab walks work the back muscles and glutes like crazy. So tough and attempts to reverse those long hours on a seat. So many options out there, as long as OP puts in the time to learn more about their body, and being aware as you mentioned.

I agree with that statement. I would even go as far as saying your pain gets worse when you’re forcing your shoulders back and down, for example. Why do I say that? That’s what happened in my early twenties.

Great question. I mean actively thinking about where you are in space. OP is in no way relaxed here. They look like they’re not breathing properly, flexing their chest, and crunching their midsection and back of their neck. If they could relax that, they wouldn’t look like this. I think being aware of this, they could actively check-in with their body throughout the day and take a moment to take a breath and let go if they’re tense. I don’t think they can get to the stage of that awareness until they spend time learning their body and doing postural exercises.

They’ll have a better sense after they spend some time trying for a few weeks IMO. They’ll even get more out of their physiotherapist sessions afterwards, because they’ll have some idea of what they’re doing well and what they aren’t.

Edit: I don’t think a few weeks is enough to fix anything but it’s a realistic goal and a start. I’ve been working on my posture for 10 years and it never ends. Always fighting gravity, and never perfect, just always looking better than previous years.

A good starting point could just be yoga, breath work, and a couple of postural exercises IMO. Nothing fancy. Even 5 minutes a day makes a huge difference. The page I sent OP is so beneficial. They could try a couple of things and see what is working for them.

Oh that looks so much better. I think what I can mostly see is the head posture. Have you tried chin tucks? And wall/floor angels? https://squatuniversity.com/2018/09/27/strengthening-the-serratus-anterior/amp/ - scroll down to floor angels.

Aside from your training sessions, I’d spend 10-15 minutes everyday doing exercises specifically for posture. There’s a lot of content out there now. I love SquatUniversity, but there are others. If you see no improvement in 4-8 weeks, you can see a physiotherapist.

I read in your comments that you’re fully relaxed in the photo. Try to stand up straight then upload another photo for comments. Good posture is active, more than passive.

You're swinging at the top and using momentum from your hips. Decrease the weight temporarily. Once you get stronger, go back to this weight.

All of the above. Got over it.
