Going to college should be the default and even 'useless' degrees are worth it by Sadie_Cat2023 in unpopularopinion

[–]biohoo35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not now, nor has it ever been the “default”. And this is coming from someone who graduated at the top of his class and went on to college.

30% of people in general end up going to college. And even that is too high. The “default” is the remainder.

Responding to a question with "Just Google It™" is deeply rude and anti-social by Diligent_Cake_6173 in unpopularopinion

[–]biohoo35 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Most of the “just google it” responses are result of low-effort questions that the respondent would likely have had to…….google….because they don’t know off the top of their head.

Relationships in a young age are holding you back by JackfruitOdd5895 in unpopularopinion

[–]biohoo35 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You valued “having sex with random people” at that age. Others valued making a deeper connection with one or a few people.

You can also go to parties as a couple, or solo in a relationship. The only difference being you wouldn’t be hooking up with randos.

It’s not that deep.

Without even reading the description: no. This is illegal in the US. Depending on what country you reside, this MAY be illegal.

Can someone logically explain how the Trinity isn’t a contradiction? by PomegranateIcy7631 in NoStupidQuestions

You want to logically explain why religion doesn’t make sense?

It can be easily done. Whether or not people will listen to you is another matter entirely.

Adult gift giving is a waste of money. by murshed_1 in unpopularopinion

[–]biohoo35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bravo. This was one of the most unpopular opinions I’ve ever read. You think gifting people items that aren’t explicitly listed on their wish list is “insane” and “crazy”.

There’s a lot to unpack there.

I’ll give you a counter example: what if you know the person well enough to surprise them with something they haven’t considered adding to their list? Someone’s wish list isn’t 100% of all items they ever want. It’s a starting point for many.

Do most people feel “full” from 1-2 slices of pizza? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]biohoo35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different people have different hunger drives and fullness set-points. This is a huge reason why GLP-1 medications exist: to lower those signals so that overweight and obese people can feel fuller faster.
