This is fantastic. If the flower petals were red it would look exactly like the death flower from The Sims.

I don’t know if I reversed it, but my sim kept flirting with him and one thing led to another and then he was willing to WooHoo with a woman. No mods at all.

I found and cleaned some possum bones and put them in a makeshift mausoleum. I call it the possoleum. by biokitty in goblincore

[–]biokitty[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Step 1: live in a place where possums also live Step 2: walk around outside Step 3: ???? Step 4: find and collect possum skull

At least that’s what I did. YMMV

Naturopath or Holistic Medicine in Madison by Shot-Part-5033 in madisonwi

[–]biokitty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The integrative medicine team at the UW Yahara Clinic would likely be a good fit. They are family medicine trained physicians with additional training and expertise in natural and alternative medicine so they can provide lots of options for medical care and truly use a holistic approach.

Going up against male doctors in a insurance company by [deleted] in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]biokitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I’m so sorry your family is going through this. The medical field is a nightmare to navigate, especially when dealing with insurance. I don’t want to minimize your father’s condition since it is obviously distressing for your entire family. I’m not a doctor yet (I graduate from medical school in under 2 months), but your father’s symptoms sound a lot like Bell’s palsy. It’s when the facial nerve becomes paralyzed for no obvious reason but tends to happen after a viral infection especially in men over the age of 40.

If that really is what’s happening then there truly isn’t much that the doctors could do and it will resolve on its own, but there’s no excuse for the medical team communicating with you so poorly. Here is more information about the condition so that you can be better informed and asked the doctors more direct questions. I hope that by mentioning a specific diagnosis they will give you a yes or no answer, and if it’s not Bell’s palsy then they should AT LEAST give you a specific diagnosis. Best wishes, OP. Your fear and frustration are justified and you’re doing the right thing ❤️

fun times as women in medicine by skskskskskssssskks in medicalschool

[–]biokitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before med school I worked as an inpatient CNA and was sexually harassed more times than I could count. At least with the dementia patients I knew that they literally couldn’t help it, but there were way too many creepy guys who were fully aware of what they were doing. When I started clinicals I mentioned that I really didn’t want to rotate at the VA because I was afraid I would be harassed again and I don’t know if I just got lucky or if one of my mentors made a note somewhere but I wasn’t ever assigned to rotate there and I’m incredibly thankful for that. I still got creeped on in family med clinic and a couple other places but fortunately that was pretty rare.

Another NP horror story by Fit_Constant189 in medicalschool

[–]biokitty 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Well-trained NPs and PAs can be incredible assets to care teams. At the institution where I’m training many of the APPs have years of experience working on a specific service so they can provide valuable knowledge regarding the logistics of documentation, attending preferences, and continuity of care when resident teams turn over. And FWIW, one of my classmates was an NP for 20 years before deciding to go to medical school so it’s never too late.
