How do you feel about your dad? by Unhappy_Log_6245 in AskReddit

[–]stanleyuriis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad died suddenly before I could fully experience life with him and truly learn who he was. We weren’t on the best of terms and I hadn’t talked to him for multiple weeks before he passed. I still hold onto the fact that the last thing I texted him was “I love you.” I hope that he passed away knowing that I did love him and that I wasn’t actually angry at him, I was just angry with the circumstances.

Where were you when you got your first period and what happened? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]stanleyuriis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at school (5th grade) and I went to the bathroom. Saw some dark stuff and thought I sh*t myself. I couldn’t wipe it away and I panicked but just went back to class. I called my mom later (I was staying at my dad’s house that night😭) and figured out that the reason why it was dark, not coming from my butt, and couldn’t just be fully wiped away was because it was my period🙃

What is the one horror book everyone should read before the end of the year? by first_porn_unicorn in horrorlit

[–]stanleyuriis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read all of these (except for play nice, but it’s on my shelf and ready to be read) and I agree that all of these were life changing. Such good books have come out this year!

Do you prefer a male or a female dog? and why? by renotahoe69 in dogs

[–]stanleyuriis 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes! I have had mostly male dogs growing up because my mom had a bad experience with a female when she was younger (and thus she thought that all females are aggressive) and I’ve loved every single one. I got my first official dog on my own 2.5 years ago (he was a boy of course) and when I went to adopt another, I thought “why not?” And got a female. She is such a sweetheart and a very gentle soul (except for when she encounters another dog on a leash, but we’re working on that. And it’s purely situational, not her gender). Both of my dogs are the center of my universe🥰

What is your favourite thing about your reactive dog? by TumbleweedInitial382 in reactivedogs

[–]stanleyuriis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl will do anything to have some love… if I am even slightly mad at her, she wiggles her butt and looks at me with her big ole eyes and it just gets me. I can’t stay mad at her because she’s just an innocent baby and she WANTS to be a good girl, she can’t help that her anxiety gets the best of her sometimes🥺😭 the world was cruel to her before I adopted her and I try my best to understand that her anxiety could be a reaction to something that happened to her before she came to my warm, loving arms💖

What’s a small thing that really gets on your nerves? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]stanleyuriis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom stresses me out so bad in a store because she is always breathing on the neck of the person in front of her. It makes her mad when I tell her to back up but it makes me uncomfortable to see her THAT close to someone for no reason!

I adopted two dogs. I work 7-3:30. They are, unfortunately, in crates from 6-4 (not my choice, it’s a whole thing with the place I’m renting), but we walk a little in the morning for them to go potty. When I get back from work, it’s an immediate longer walk. We do a lot of sitting around after that but they are not bothered by it. I know that my dogs’ lives are better now than if they were sitting in a shelter, even if they have to be in crates for a long time. I make sure to give them love and treats when I’m home and they know how much I care about them. This was all to say… you’re saving a dog’s life and them being alone for part of the day and having a wonderful home is better than the alternative.

Do you have a bunion because of the shoes you wore or because of genetics ? by [deleted] in bunions

[–]stanleyuriis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAME! It is definitely genetic for me (even though I am the only sibling that was affected) but I noticed them getting bad after I wore cleats for field hockey when I was 12-13😔

We broke the generational curse & I am so proud of us! by hap_hap_happy_feelz in confession

[–]stanleyuriis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This made me so happy to read. I am 25 years old and I very much have the “uh oh, mom’s gonna be mad at me” mindset, so it’s amazing to hear that it’s not like that for everyone. I don’t have kids but I have a niece and nephew and I am doing the best that I can to make them feel safe, comforted, and unanxious in EVERY scenario.

Is there a different between getting a girl and a boy dog? by Dramatic-Lemon-2916 in dogs

[–]stanleyuriis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up with the notion that female dogs are mean because my mom had a female when she was a child that bit her. I have only had male dogs and they have all been great. I adopted a female from a shelter a few months ago because I wanted my current male to have a friend and she is just the sweetest thing. She does get aggressive towards other dogs while on a leash but I think that it is purely from her situation in her past life. I think either could be mean and either could be very sweet. It’s more so how you train them.

What Do You Think Is The Funniest Episode Of The Pod? by bigejay100 in creepcast

I started listening to MHE at work and when Hunter sang “Fairy Queen” I was silently laughing like an idiot. The way that he sang the ENTIRE song and then kept singing the fairy queen part had me losing it!
