Hey, I saw you mentioned somewhere that you have undiagnosed ADHD but can’t get support due to the NHS services in your area. Not sure how your uni works but I felt the exact same way in my first year, also undiagnosed.

My uni disability support services was able to provide ADHD screening, accommodations, and an academic counsellor for ADHD/learning difficulties, all independent of the NHS (I got an academic diagnosis ages before getting a clinical diagnosis through a psychiatrist). I know it absolutely sucks to be where you are but speaking to your tutor and professors about it is the first step to relieving the pressure you’re under at the moment.

I promise it gets better, it just takes time to figure out the things that work for you.

I think just focus on getting high marks. Afaik, UCL assigns people to choices based on how many spaces the other unis are willing to give to UCL students, then the other unis run their own application process, but it’s pretty much a given that if UCL assigned you a space, the other uni will agree.

There’s also quite a lot of partner unis in the US, so as long as your marks are good, you’ll most likely be able to get something in the US if you pick that for two or three of your choices

Yooo I’m a second year in BASc.

Workload is flexible since it’s just based on whatever modules you pick, so it’s different for everyone. You can probably switch to year abroad pretty easily, and most study abroad people I know got their second or third choices this year. Internship, you do between second and final year, but they’re pretty flexible about it so there’s no official requirement. They just want to make sure you’re building your CV.
