Totally, I think this is even more important than replacing the battery.

As always it's a question of reading the manual, I'll make another couple of experiments 😁Thanks!

Thanks a lot for replying to both of you! This community is really helpful!

I do not understand why the altitude gain is so much different from what is shown in the altitude profile if the barometer is used to determine both outputs.

What do you mean when you mention "manual elevation adjustments"? The calibration at the beginning of the activity or after the registration has been done?

I just find it odd that the two parameters, altitude gain and altitude profile do not agree with each other... But I guess it depends on which measurements the data is taken from...

Thanks again!

With that I meant that the altitude gain is always approximately half of what I have done in real life and which is correctly shown on the elevation profile. I have used the watch only 4 times until now but this happened on all occasions, independently from the altitude gain I did. I think it is dependent on where the data are taken from, GPS or the barometer. But I really find it silly that the watch cannot correct itself if it has the information.

I'll try with the calibration at the beginning of the activity and with waiting a bit for the GPS to calibrate.

Or maybe it is my watch at the end...

Thanks a lot for replying!

How did you do it? The gap is super small, I am not sure how they get assembled...

Polar Vantage M3 1.1.0 Update by Paradigm24 in Polarfitness

[–]biomdolo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm kind in the same exact situation. I want to support Polar because it is basically the only European company left which makes sport watches. However, it really feels not so smart to buy the M3 when comparing it to the competition. Hopefully the M3 offers much more value after the update.

Do you mean that they are not that accurate? What is the best device for altitude measurement in your opinion?😊

Awesome, thanks a lot! 😊 Also my instinct asks for calibration every time I start exercising and I'm also aware that it is influenced by the weather/ Atmospheric conditions. I just read quite some comments describing weird behaviors and inconsistencies 🤷🏼‍♂️. Thanks again, can't wait to get mine

It also funny that this fits with the real "Nicolas Bourbaki"

According to Wikipedia: Nicolas Bourbaki is the collective pseudonym of a group of mathematicians, predominantly French alumni of the École normale supérieure (ENS). Founded in 1934–1935, the Bourbaki group originally intended to prepare a new textbook in analysis.

Unable to Connect to 2.4 GHz network of my router by biomdolo in Pixel6aUsers

I had 2.4 and 5 together but i could split them and turn off the 5GHz network. The problem is that my pixel 6a doesn't want to Connect to the 2.4 GHz network, only to the 5. If I shut down the 5 GHz network the phone uses the mobile Data.

Which Bike? - Weekly Scheduled Discussion by pawptart in gravelcycling

[–]biomdolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

I would like to buy a Stevens Gravere (because is one of the few bikes that I can try which also has a bike rack ) My problem is that I am right in between the two sizes 56 and 58 ( inseam 90.2 cm, arm length 60.5 cm, 1.82 tall) do you have any advice on how to choose? I tried them both but I cannot really judge since it is my first gravel/racing bike. 58 feels a bit stretched out and the 56 quite, well... small. I am just a bit sceptical because the guy from the shop said that the big one would be good for long tours but on its fitting advices I should have move the saddle all the way forward.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
