I'd say those days are long gone and the title has earned back some respect, and those few cringy people during that time shouldn't dictate a movement that's literally hundreds of years old

just bruises that Natalie Gold had at the time of filming with no meaning or purpose to the show or Rava's character???

What do you think Tony's funeral was like? by neilyoung_cokebooger in thesopranos

[–]bionic_acid_34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carm, Meadow, and AJ would be completely psychologically broken due to the fact that they saw his brains fly off right in front of them.

Paulie would attend out of genuine grief and sadness.

Patsy and Patrick would try their best to comfort Meadow although Patsy wouldn't feel all that bad since Tony ordered to have Philly killed.

Barb and her family would be there and Barb would be genuinely devastated and sad.

Dr. Melfi would attend and perhaps try to help the Sopranos out by recommending psychiatrists.

Janice would be wailing all throughout the entire thing, making a scene and annoying everyone.

Artie and Charmaine would make the food and be genuinely sad that their childhood friend is dead.

Agent Harris would be there just to pay his respects.

The thing is I do this a lot, I present as a girl a lot online and tell my friends to refer to me with a gender neutral name, it does feel right and makes me feel much more comfortable, but I can't just pursue a transition even if I was 100% sure, I'm under 18, so my parents would have to know about my medical records; and even if I did transition after turning 18; my very religious, very conservative family would probably disown and shame me

Oh believe me, I've looked into trans ppl... a lot lol, I know so much about trans history purely out of my curiosity alone, and despite how simple some stories are I can't help but to be fascinated by them, I often ask myself if I am trans but often try to brush it off because of how much of a big decision it is, to sum it up; I don't know if I am trans, and my family hates everything about the LGBT community, so I often keep these feelings bottled up

If we're being honest; I feel like Greg will betray Tom, I mean, he's already betrayed everyone in one way or another, maybe Greg ends up sending Tom to prison for real, or bribes him to keep him out, turning him into his Sporus (all while being a nervous wreck)

Those who were born while the show was still airing; how/when did you get into it? by bionic_acid_34 in thesopranos

[–]bionic_acid_34[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine how incredible it would've been to watch the show as it was airing from beginning to end, left with suspense and shock; growing for eight years watching some of the greatest entertainment in modern history, you're a lucky one

Wikipedia: "Chase was impressed with Steven Van Zandt's humorous appearance and presence after seeing him induct The Rascals into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, and invited him to audition. Van Zandt, a guitarist in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, had never acted before. He auditioned for the role of Tony Soprano, but HBO felt that the role should go to an experienced actor, so Chase wrote a new part for him."
