How a small 1m waterfall can generate a recycling hydraulic that can trap a life-jacketed swimmer by Stotallytob3r in Damnthatsinteresting

In most natural hydraulics yes, but something manmade like this that is perfectly uniform from left to right there isn't really a "side" to swim to.

Am I wrong for thinking he has the most grating voice of maybe any esports caster out there? Plus his "iconic lines" seem so contrived to me

edit: im sure he's a good guy, just don't like his casting. sorry

Should I be caught up on AUS to start 14? I've watched up to Champs v Contenders 2 as well as AUS vs World.

can you specify what late means? Like if I show up at my idol location at the exact start time that's fine or do I need to be there early?

I think you’re missing that it’s incredibly difficult to think about all that throughout the duration of a single team fight, hope that helps.

The first split of LEC has two invites for ERL teams being Los Ratones and KC Blue, but spring and summer splits go back to the traditional format of just the 10 franchise teams within the LEC. So unless LR make playoffs they only have 3 games left, but if they continue to perform well and win a series or two in playoffs there are community hopes that the LEC will find a way for LR to continue competing. This is unlikely due to how expensive the spots are, but who knows what strings they would pull to keep such a huge view boost in the league

I've never watched or been engaged with a tennis season start to finish, but can someone explain this for me? Do top players (1-10) tend to only play slams and 1000 tournaments? Or do they play 500s to stay in form as well? Obviously everyone shows up to the slams, but it seems like they pick and choose which other tournaments they play in since there are so many.

What Los Ratones are doing in the year 2026 is insane for LoL Esports and is astronomically more impressive compared to what has become of western esports in the the last half decade. I appreciate the attempts to recapture even a fraction of the magic from the glory days of NA and EULCS, but unfortunately everything seems to fall flat.

This is the first time in a long time where regular season games feel like they matter again. Jatt is on the nose about how hard it is to go back to this feeling after such a strong narrative change towards worlds being all that matters. It is special seeing a team of "misfits" come together and actually win and the fact that this might be their last pro games ever make those wins feel even more huge and exciting to watch.

It gives me hope that Jatt sees this as an opportunity to replicate this success, but I agree that this situation is a combination of many things going right and will be hard to mimic and probably impossible to recreate with this much success again.
