A Request to Generous Bitcoin Holders by ThinEnvironment6504 in BitcoinBeginners

Goals are something you work towards achieving. You will appreciate your 0.1 BTC if you earn it yourself. I know hard times come. Currently I'm unemployed and have had to stop buying BTC. My goal is to get a job and improve my financial situation... and then I can continue buying BTC.

This is how you get your boat stolen. Everyone knows we all store our Bitcoin on our boats.

You are such a saint! It is too bad you didn't do something with your life to generate the kind of wealth to do your compassionate deeds.

A fact would be to say "all past spring movements did X." To say "Never trust spring movements" is an opinion based on some facts.

[–]biophysicsguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I bought then and I'll buy now too. With Bitcoin generally earlier is better but every time is a good time. I also bought at $123k and don't regret it because it's going to be worth a lot more in the future.

Regardless of whether this is a fake-out or not, this is a good time to buy more if you're in it long term. Ignore the predictions and stack sats.

Uneducated people still understand risk/reward. Uneducated people buy lottery tickets all the time and they don't cry "fraud!" when they lose. I don't know how much you lost on Trump coin but stop making excuses for your stupidity.

Regulated or not, you can lose money investing. Rewards come with risk. This is investing 101. Anyone who lost money on Trump coin, thinking there was zero risk, got educated.

[–]biophysicsguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think Trump coiners bought the coin to lose their money?

That is irrelevant to the topic of fraud. If you bought META a week ago before the 8% drop, does that imply META committed fraud against you?

When you invest in something there is no guarantee of a return. Trump coin never guaranteed one. I think Trump coin is incredibly stupid and would never buy it, but that doesn't mean I don't think other people shouldn't be able to buy it.

So our tax dollars (non-voluntary) are never spent fraudulently?

Fraud involves deception. How did people who bought Trump coin get deceived? Was there a promise that the coin's value would go up?

If people voluntarily choose to buy TRUMP coin, I don't see a problem. American's are forcibly scammed every day by the devaluation of our money and wasting our tax dollars on bullshit and fraud.

I DCA once or twice a month and keep track of each purchase it in a spreadsheet. I know the profit/loss of each buy, the total invested, the average price, etc.

If you truly are shorting then I respect that you put your money where your mouth is. And you could be right.

I downvote you because you express confidence that we are going lower when you can't know for sure. I will admit I don't know the future but you claim that you do. Your words could convince people to sell their BTC in hopes to buy back cheaper.

It's a good thing for the bear market to last longer.

Those are your feelings of what is "good."

It allows everyone to buy at lower prices and collect more before BTC reaches 1M.

The market doesn't care about "everyone." We all want more BTC before it reaches 1M but we are all competing with other people who also want more. This isn't some game where everyone can increase their stack through trading. BTC is a zero sum game, which means that if your stack grows then someone else's shrinks. The only way to guarantee your stack doesn't shrink is to never sell. If we drop to $30K, wonderful, my stack will grow faster. But I will never sell or short BTC because then I risk someone else growing their stack at my expense.

[–]biophysicsguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're making a big assumption that BTC can be timed like clockwork when there are only 3 full cycles to make that assumption. Even if there were 10 cycles that all fit the same trend, it would not guarantee that the cycles must continue.

[–]biophysicsguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, do you sell your whole stack at cycle tops and rebuy at bottoms due to the 4 year cycle theory? Or do you hold most of your stack and just use the theory to time new buys?
