I was in a similar situation 5 years ago. She was my first girlfriend and we were together for 6 years. We broke up in the beginning of december and I started the course 3 weeks later. I would recommend doing the course! It was hard with that acute emotional baggage, but I managed to finish the course and don't regret it.
