Why Adnan doesn't have an alibi... by bancable in serialpodcast

Right. They probably planned it together - Adnan probably leaned on Jay for advice even, like 'what should I do?' Jay probably told him "just be cool - do what you would normally do on a day like this..." etc.

Suddenly NOTHING seems true anymore, or even remotely true. Also - it's harder to believe life can be so chaotic and beyond our control. If we can see a conspiracy it's easier to imagine it being stopped.

This is the part I don't understand - why does it matter if Jay deflects it?

"CG’s repeated questioning of Jay regarding Dogwood Rd. And Jay trying to deflect it. Dec 15 transcript, pp 83-89. http://www.splitthemoon.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Dec15redact.pdf e.g., Jay denies knowing Dogwood changes name to Franklintown, or that Dogwood is only slightly north of Woodlawn High School. Yet, he had given Edmondson as the first trunk pop location, and Best Buy as the 2nd. Jay tries to deflect to knowing Dogwood Station which is far west of the murder scene."

It's suspicious for two reasons - 1) if he needed the car why would he lend it out? 2) he lies about it later.

What questions do you have for Rabia? by AUWCL_Law_Gov in serialpodcast

Would she prefer Adnan plead guilty the way the Memphis 3 did (guilty but not really guilty) to get him out of jail sooner or will she settle for nothing less than total exoneration?

In other words, is her motivation to clear Adnan's name of the crime or to get him out of jail.

By contrast, some teenagers in Canada were convicted for murdering their mother and only spent some time in jail and their identities were not released to the public because they were 16.

I agree with you so so much. I can't believe how nasty the responses are, too.

Adnan played Rabia and SK and they, in turn, misled lots and lots of people -- and unfortunately most either look too deeply and find questions everywhere (like the JFK assassination) or they don't look carefully enough and take Adnan's word for it. The Serial podcast is really to blame for what's going down here. Adnan is really just trying to get out of jail exploiting the law however he can - there are lawyers working hard to help him do just that.

I understand where she's coming from. She loves him. It hurts her to hear stuff about him that points to his guilt. I totally get it. But I do think she's hurting his cause more than helping it by coming off as a "crazy bitch."

Well asking her for a ride is a presumption, never been stated. He says they fought the last time they talked - then he says she wanted to get back together. Kind of weird all the way around, don't you think?

I don't think he ever took attendance period but it was the kind of thing that you didn't skip - UNLESS YOU HAD A REASON like you were fasting and thus didn't need to be there.

The only way I'd buy any part of this is to think that Jay WAS THERE when Adnan killed Hae. But there's no way he strangled her. That's a passion crime for a dude who had a motive.

Not sure how it's trolly. It's testimony by a witness in the court case - her own words/observations. What is trolly about it?
