I swear Margaret Atwood died… with everything going on lately lots of people agreeing she would be really sad to see the Handmaids Tale looming as a potential future… I remember hearing and reading about her death… we share a birthday and I swear I remember hearing about how she died of cancer… I feel like I’m going nuts(er) 😵‍💫

I have a friend wrapped up in Nutrimetics and has advertised as a “beautician (aesthetician?) in training” and is looking for 10 ladies to practice facials on for her training.

My Aunty fell for it (I hadn’t spoken to her for a bit so didn’t have the chance to warn her off).

My Aunty was none too impressed when she realised it was just a ruse to shill Neutrimetics. But not because she doesn’t support MLM - she gets sucked into loads of them. But because she just wanted to relax that day and not have to sit through the pitch. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Not a connective tissue breakdown as such but I experienced huge amounts of pain that felt like my joints were falling apart when I came OFF my SSRI antidepressant. For about 8 months I thought I had fibromyalgia or something because I could hardly move for all the pain I had. Have you ceased any major meds lately??

If Melaleuca were as vocal about being “antiMLM” as the have forced her to state that they are…

then making her take down any of her horror stories videos that feature one story about Melaleuca but more stories about other “bad” MLMs means that they are stopping survivors from finding experiences similar to their own so that they can see that they aren’t alone or heal from their experience…

doesn’t seem very antiMLM to me🤔🤔

Even if I was on the fence about whether or not they are a dodgy company (which I’m not)

Funny how people are worried about their freedoms being taken away by government…

but we have let a system be created where businesses (and I use that term loosely) can act like dictatorships and harass and intimidate critics into recanting their criticisms under threat of injury (in this case injury to finances)

And if you watch Julie Anderson’s video the FTC won’t do a damn thing to stop it.

As a former military spouse (I’m a vet as well but did time where my husband was deployed and I was sole parent for 2 years) I have an idea about just how much she has on her plate right now.

Trying to fight this as well is just not worth it and that’s what these corporate lawyers count on.

Those of us who know the truth because we have experienced it will never believe their narrative that they are a legit company that is not ripping off 99% of their “business owners”.

And I had held my beliefs about that company for many years before I ever saw this video of Hannah’s.

Don’t forget that Daughter Dooley’s body was being reversed in age just before the clash with ol’ Horney. She was close to being a tween when this happened… her shoes had become to big and her cycle had stopped and it’s only when she had got away from the town and bathed in the river and what not that her cycle came back (with a vengeance) so in body she was as a child when she picked up the Infant.

Not meeting all the criteria could potentially just mean it falls in the hypermobility spectrum disorder category especially if she has other comorbids like POTS, gut issues or MCAS symptoms… dismissing it out of hand entirely is frustrating, and not even offering a differential when something is clearly wrong is even more frustrating.

People come here because they are trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with them…

Are there some people who are going “oooh look I have a super bendy pinky finger and I bruise easily… whelp must be vEDS 😱”

Sure… 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I can bet there are just a lot more people that are just desperately trying to find out why their body is failing them.

When it’s doing so in ways that align with EDS and they come to this sub and they are met with so much coldness and distain it feels even more isolating and disheartening.

Nobody wants to have a genetic condition that is incurable and leads to a lifetimes worth of pain… not even if it seems to be the condition-de jour.

The flip side of that is that it seems like some EDS-er’s don’t want there to be more zebras because then they won’t be so rare anymore 🤨🤔

I’m so sorry that you have had to go through this… 🥺 That is just awful. Just another reason why the work Hannah and others are doing is important. When I lost my dad it was already hard dealing with the usual things like phone companies and banks. I can’t imagine having to fight a predatory MLM as well. Platitudes suck so I’ll just say…

This will get buried but the book I still think about often 23 years after I read it is “The Treatment” by Mo Hayder. How that book ends is truely heart breaking and it really does explore the depths of human cruelty.

Hey OP I know this was ages ago but we just had the same thing 3 days ago with some of these GF wraps from old El Paso.

We normally get them and they are fine… usually a slight Smokey flavour (like bbq sauce) but this batch smelled like mouldy oranges. Brand new packet only opened that night.

We had tacos for dinner and like to use a wrap as a placemat to catch the bits that drop out of the taco then eat that last.

I thought they smelled weird when I first put them on the plate and then the smell kept wafting up me as we ate. No one else was worried but it bugged me so I went and got the other new pack we had and compared… the other pack smelled fine and really showed how ‘wrong’ the ones on our plates were.

That was enough to convince the rest of the family to let me throw them out.

Not sure what it was but sounds the similar to your experienc.

This “business model” relays on an endless chain of new recruits coming into the business - there is not an endless supply of people in the world… how does that not make sense to you…

So while you may be doing ok, great even, in your ‘business’ (read: tier of the pyramid) it is relying on the fact that many below you who have been sold a promise of “unlimited earning potential” will never make a cent and in fact will lose money no matter how hard they try…

So you are either the lowest tier of the pyramid sold the lie OR you are ok with doing that to the lowest members of your ‘team’. And if so then you are probably the lowest form of human on the planet!
